New Asphalt Roof for my House and Shed after a Storm Blew off 21 (!) Shingles

After wind storm damage, I found a contractor to replace my whole roof

New shingles on shed too

The sixth of April was a day I won’t soon forget. We had a severe storm with 60-mile-an-hour winds tearing through the neighborhood. I ended up with 21 shingles left laying in my yard afterwards. Even though I didn’t have any leaks from my roof yet, I thought I’d better get it fixed up, so I started looking for a contractor.

When I went online to search for a roofer, Networx came up and you sent me a couple of names. One of them didn’t respond and one of them did, and that’s the one I used – Craftsmen Contractors.

Craftsmen did a roof replacement on my whole house and my shed too, using high-quality GAF asphalt shingles. I was happy with the crew; they did a good job. The work took them 7 hours altogether and they hauled away all the leftovers from the old roof.

The only complaint I had was that I really didn’t have anybody to talk to during the process. The foreman left an hour or so after the crew got started, so there wasn’t as much communication as I would have liked. Afterward, I had a couple of small problems but they came out and took care of them right away, so all told, the roofing work went well.

The roofers gave me a guarantee on the new roof for 50 years. I doubt if I’ll be around for another 50 years but I do have one opportunity to pass it on, should I sell the house. So the next guy who lives here can have whatever is left. The warranty is transferable one time.

I would recommend these contractors to a friend. I had 2 different people call me from Craftsmen after they finished the work, wanting me to rate them, so they definitely care about how they’re doing.

These folks have got their name out there in a lot of places. I found them online, through a contractor website, and that’s what I would recommend to a homeowner that’s looking to hire a professional to do some work for them.
