Work Description: At the end of a 3-month renovation project, we were down to one important, unfinished piece: selection and installation of our master bath vanity. Two options had failed for various reasons, so we wound up buying a sleek, contemporary 'floating' cabinet with ceramic sink and faucet made in Europe. Two plumbers walked away from the job. After a 15-minute telephone conversation and a couple of pictures, Peter agreed to undertake it. It was a bear of a job. The totally pictorial instructions were too clever to be comprehensible, and adaptations were needed for the European dimensions. Most humans would bail out before finishing this job, but Peter is tenacious: he simply would not admit defeat. He also took extra steps for my benefit even though it might have been against his self-interest to do so, i.e., when he could have taken a shortcut or called some step "complete" without testing it. (He was not on the clock.) All of this shows that Peter is truly there for his customer, has the tenacity to stay with a difficult job, and has integrity. The U.S. Marine in him shines through.
