Work Description: drain backing up. Turned out washer/dryer line is tied into Kitchen line........line was really blocked.........due to oil and grease from kitchen sink.

Work Description: Water Heater Replacement
Comments: I would happily RECOMMEND Thompson Plumbing to anyone in need of a plumber in the Cartersville area.Although, back in October, I discovered that my old water heater had a slow drip leaking out of the top, for financial reasons I was hoping to hold-off having it replaced until after Christmas.
Well, things changed during the evening of Sunday Dec. 1st when the leak suddenly increased in magnitude and even put out the pilot light. Luckily we discovered the change and were able to shut off the water before the leak completely overwhelmed the drip-pan.
When I first discovered the drip in October, I obtained a quote from another company that had previously repaired my AC system, but I thought that quote seemed really high. But, since the water heater finally failed on Sunday evening and I didn't consider it an emergency situation because the water was shut off, I had time to do some online research before I could put in a service call Monday morning.
I like to support local businesses whenever possible, so I began by looking for plumbers located in Cartersville. Thompson Plumbing immediately caught my eye due to their 5 out of 5 review scores on several different platforms, so I decided to give them a try.
Fully expecting to be without hot water for at least another day, I called Thompson first thing Monday morning to get a quote and hopefully schedule the replacement.
The person that answered the phone was very professional and pleasant to talk to as I explained my problem. I also emailed her pictures of my existing 40 gallon heater, which was located in a small second-floor laundry room. She stated that they'd get back to me soon with a quote.
Within 30 minutes, the owner of company actually called me back with a quote for a new 50 gallon unit that was several hundred dollars less than the other company's quote I received back in October!
But, what truly amazed me was that, even though they had other service appointments already scheduled for that day, the owner stated that due to the nature of the call (a leaking water heater), he would personally head my way before lunch to get things started, and that he should be able to free up one of his technicians to help complete the replacement by mid-afternoon that same day!
He arrived in a truck about an hour later, and after the typical formalities, began the draining existing heater and prepping the new heater for installation. He came across as very professional, with an attention to detail, and even showed more concern than I had for preventing any kind of mess while draining and removing the old water heater. Once everything was ready to go, he left to pick up the other technician and returned shortly thereafter.
Not only did they complete the replacement by mid-afternoon as promised, the pipe-work for the new water heater looked much more professional compared to that from the original water heater.
And, despite the fact that I can be an annoying client because I tend to get in the way while asking ALOT of questions about the work in progress (by the length of this review, you can probably guess that I never shut-up once I get started), they both went out of their way to answer all of my questions and explain everything they were doing without hesitation, from start to finish.
The new water heater works great and the extra capacity is an added bonus. I actually feel that my money was well-spent and I'm 100% satisfied with every aspect of the experience.
High Quality Work at a Reasonable Price, an Attention to Detail, and a true Dedication to Customer Service... a rare find in today's world.
Thus, as stated above and without reservation, I would happily RECOMMEND Thompson Plumbing to anyone in need of a plumber in the Cartersville area.
