Comments: We had to wait a while before they could start because of material supplier delays. It was so worth the wait. Bill and his crew did a beautiful and professional job. I would definitely uses them again, and would certainly recommend the to my friends and family.

Comments: The work is ok, but pay attention and watch him. We agreed to have 7 panels of fencing put up and when we discussed the plans, Bill said that if his estimations were off in the materials, i.e. fence, he would purchase them. No change in our price would follow. The agreed payment terms were half up front, a quarter payment when the work was halfway done and then a quarter when the work was done.

When the job was half finished (a day early) he too ALL the money, because he said he didn’t want to come back and pick up, and said that he would finish the fence and the sod and be done. He only put up 3 panels of fence, which were ours from a demo project and claimed they were new. The rusted nails in the fence show that they were, in fact, ours.

When asked about the fence he said he wasn’t doing it and that we could paint the concrete. He then proceeded to argue with my wife over the phone saying that he wasn’t eating this cost, handed me the phone and walked off. Fence incomplete. He knew he lied about the fence. He said he bought new panels and that’s what was up, no way. He then took all of the other clean, usable panels we had saved from our demo work, and the tops were broken off. I asked that they leave our panels behind and the crew said they would. Bill ensured they only left 4 panels. I have pictures of his truck with my panels driving away.

My wife called to follow up, Bill picked up the phone, said nothing, and hung up on her. She then texted him and said he had 24 hours to finish the job we contracted him to do. He called back and said he would buy the remaining panels, even though we offered to buy them. He said he needed a week to finish it. That was a Thursday. On Saturday (2 days later) at 7am he called and said, today is the day I’m on your property. He then told his crew to put up the fencing, and it didn’t matter if the electrical outlet to the pool was covered. He told the crew to cover the outlet, make no access, and hurry up. The fencing was sub par to the fencing we agreed upon. It looks like pulp. Thank goodness, we created a positive rapport with the crew and asked that they just cut a hole out so we can access the electric panel for the pool. His crew told us that Bill said not to do anything about it. That he is just putting up a fence and that’s it.

Furthermore, he estimated how much sod was needed prior to the pool being installed and post pool installation we called him and noted that he should come out and look to see the changes, he said he didn’t need to. He never adjusted the price of the sod due to purchasing less of it.

Such a shame, he does good work but he scams where and when he can. He took all of the money knowing full well he didn’t finish the job and had no intention of doing so unless threatened with court proceedings.
Thank you for your feedback. but this is blown way out of proportion. We are talking about 1% of the job. We were to use her old fence but could only use 3 panels because the other pieces were damaged and cut at the bottom. They felt we were to supply the necessary panels to fence where their panels were to be used. I said we were not responsible to replace their panels but after a discussion that they were not happy with this, I decided that the it was not worth the disagreement and bought 5 panels and installed at my cost. I had told the guys to cut a hole in the fence for the wire to pass through. They asked that we stone around their pool and I gave them a price of $250. I then credited that $250 to them because we used a little less sod than estimated. This was blown way out of proportion. The job is beautiful after we transformed a mess into a better homes and garden look. We also got 1 estimate and 2 jobs from neighbors that liked it so much. We have a stellar reputation with 64% of our jobs being from word of mouth referrals. We have been in business 51 years and every once in a couple years you run into a disagreement with a customer like this. My dad told me it can be just part of being in business. Thankfully it only happens once in 1,568 jobs we install.

Comments: Work not completed as agreed upon. Igonored my phone calls and when I told them I would have to take alternative they called me back in 15 mins. and said they would check into it. I has been 2 weeks. This is a simple fix and can be done. I called Glen Gery and they do supply the top stone which we requested for fire pit. Also one block just has to be cut to match. Sorry cant recommend this company if they cant comply with agreements.
Mr. Gray insisted on a 1 inch black cap and I told him that none existed in black. He called Glen Gery and a man told him that they make a black cap. Yes they do make a black cap but not in 1 inch that goes on top of a fire pit. It is a 4 inch black cap that looks terrible on a fie pit because the cap is as large as the block that makes up the fire pit. So I was right no 1 inch black cap. I now see that they bought the 4 inch black cap and replaced our 1 inch cap that went with the fire pit. Now they have a fre pit with a block wall black cap that looks terrible and not right. But..." to each his own as they say". They put a 4 inch black cap that is used on contractors commercial 10 foot retaining walls. I refused to do that to their beautiful patio job. By the way, I got 2 jobs in their neighbor from their patio job because the people liked what we did with their patio and the fire pit we had with the 1 inch cap. before they put their 4 inch cap on. Oh well......
