Description: The most common phrase that that I hear from many home owners is,
"I hate flat roofs." After we are finished with your project you will think
differently. You wont have to worry about leaks or going up on the roof
every time after it rains and sweep the water off. Standing water is a
major problem with many flat roof and some homeowners have even
got so frustrated with very large puddles they installed a pump on the
roof to get rid of all the excess water that just sits on the roof. We
eliminate large areas of standing water with a fiber reinforced self-leveling
compound, or if the area is really large we can build a cricket to channel
the water off the roof.


Scuppers are another way to achieve better drainage. Some times the
scuppers have been improperly installed and dont drain right and need
to be lowered entirely, or in most cases just cutting all of the excess
sealant out and opening the scupper back to its original size is the best
way.


Membrane is the key acting like rebar in concrete it gives the coating
the strength it need to deal with extreme expansion and contraction we
experience here in the desert, while remaining completely flexible. It
can be used to restore even the worst roofs back to their original state.
Most contractors use the titex membrane system only in the low areas or
just in the bad areas. This is how we use to do it also, but after many
years and being able to see how long it last we decided that if its good
enough for the bad areas its good enough to do the entire roof.


A/C units of the roof pose many issues. Most units are set on 4x4"
lumber and just set on the roof with no way to coat under the lumber and
providing very little clearance under the unit itself. Another big issue is
that a lot of times this area begins to hold water as it settles. Some
contractors will just move the blocks over and coat and then move
them back, or worse coat the blocks to the roof. This will make the blocks
rote out faster since the top of the wood is still exposed and water then
becomes trapped. We opted to completely eliminate this area all together
by placing a metal pan that is completely water tight and that requires no
maintenance under the unit at all in the future.


Silicone - An added upgrade that can be applied to the roof is the top of
line flat roof system is unlike any other roof coating it is unaffected by UV
rays and does not break down by water. Because of this the manufacture
offers up to a 50 year warranty. No more maintenance coats, no worries
of standing water wearing out the coating prematurely.
