Comments: FRAUD ALERT! FRAUD ALERT! Contractor registration/ licence is INACTIVE! It is illegal for Robert MacNeilage to work as a general Contractor in Idaho! He stole 330k from us and abandoned our house! He did tens of thousands of dollars worth of damage to our home! Ruined a brand new HVAC system, installed unlicensed electrical and plumbing to our home that all had to be replaced because it didn’t meet code and was actually dangerous. He refused to pull permits and lied about every single thing that came out of his mouth! He is a criminal and has been in prison for Fraud in the past! Public record, look it up! I have proof of all of this! Bank records, contracts, text messages, audio and video recordings. He is boasting all over that as soon as we serve him with a law suit, he is filing bankruptcy and he in fact threatened us with this scenario any time we would ask him a single question on why there was little to no progress on the house. He is very verbally abusive and threatening. Has even threatened to shoot us and always carries a gun. He is also defaming our name by telling people that we owe him money and have bankrupted him! He stole our entire life savings, leaving our house in worse condition than before he started. we can’t renovate our 4 generational, family farm homestead. We had to pull from our retirement just to pay for the HVAC electrical and plumbing work on the house after he left, to keep it from blowing up, burning down, pipes breaking, or flooding. Even though we had already paid him in full for licensed professionals to do this work, we have now paid for these services twice plus the huge amount extra money to rectify the damages he caused. It cost us more in damages that the actual small amount of money he put into our renovation( from our upfront money we paid to him) we are now homeless upon retirement and will no longer be able to rent this home out as a vacation rental, as we had planned to do until we moved back to our farm after retirement in another state. The devastation this has caused our entire family is immeasurable and his fraudulent actions have completely changed the trajectory of our life and future. He has no remorse and in fact boasts about doing this to us, to his own employee, who informed us on a lot of Robert’s fraud and lies regarding our renovation. Robert is a dangerous Fraudulent individual with no conscience! He must not be trusted! He is the most aggressive and egregious liar I have ever met or known of, if he’s talking, he’s lying, period! Check his license status. On the dept of occupational licensing in Idaho. It’s free public record. Ask for his proof of insurance and call them to verify it’s current. Don’t give him one cent up front! Be aware that he or his two employees are not licensed to perform HVAC, plumbing, or electrical. He will lie to you and tell you that one of his employees is a journeyman electrician, he is not!!! If he owes you money or if you are a supplier and he owes you money, be aware that he has been telling us for months and others, including his own employee, that he is filing bankruptcy as soon as we serve him with a lawsuit in an attempt to recover the more than, 330 thousand dollars he stole from us! Comments: When owner came to measure he was here on time and when he said. Which was wonderful since we have had trouble getting anyone out here in their first place. After he measured he had an actual bid within 20 minutes. It was priced fair and was scheduled. We chose him because everything was so prompt and organized. After the fence was in progress his guys were professional and efficient. They were able to build 4 gates and over 400’ of fence in 2 and half days.
