Comments: Dear All Star Pros,This Monday morning (1/20/2025), a very cordial, respectful young man by the name of Kevin Williams from Savvy Garage Door & Repair came to my home as requested. He viewed and evaluated my garage door issue. After a moment or two, he regretfully told me that repairing an aluminum sliding garage door with a bullet hole in it is not the kind of garage door issue that garage door repairers handle or deal with. But then Kevin suggested that I do the repairing myself. Then taking out his cellphone, he pulled up an epoxy product called J-B Weld that apparently works very well with aluminum, metal, wood, ceramic, fiberglass, concrete, etc. Well actually the idea of repairing my garage door myself had first crossed my mind. But then, I decided if I was going to have the garage door fixed, I figured I'd be better off if I had a garage door professional do the work so I would know that the work was done right and that the repair work would be invisible to the naked eye. But sense apparently the garage door pros don't do that kind of repairing, I decided to do it myself after all. I already went down to Home Depot and purchased the J-B Weld repair kit. I have no doubt that I can do the repair myself. Especially since I'm pretty good with working with my hands as attested by the many pieces of home furniture and such that I put together solely by myself over the years. Now All Star Pros, in spite of things (the garage door repair) not going the way I had assumed that it would, I still gave Kevin Williams from the Savvy Garage Door Repair company a good rating because he did what he could by giving me good advice and steering me in the right direction in regard to the repairing of my aluminum sliding garage door.
