Comments: I looked for quite some time for someone to do a substantial amount of concrete work for me. I was worried about not knowing who would do it, as my Handyman of many years had retired, and i am cautious by nature with contractors. I came upon Jose and JV Concrete by accident, and I am extremely grateful that I did!
Working with Jose was amazing. He was punctual, polite, and both personable and professional.
He did exactly what he said he would, and when he said he would. Patiently explaning anything I had questions about. And here's the best part; He did excellent quality work at an excellent price. My neighbors are already asking who did my work and it's not even dry yet.
I read every single review Jose has online, and I have to say that the ones who sing his praise are correct in doing so. I would hire him again in a second, and if I replace my deck with a concrete patio, he will be my first and only call.
I can't recommend him highly enough! Not to mention his excellent crew!

Comments: My previous review was factual after the owner Mr Jose Romero was notified of the extra concrete that was left on my property Without my knowledge or consent in my dogs outdoor kennel area and In the yard where my child care children from the ages of 2-6 play jump and run around in had to be removed immediately the owner Mr Jose Romero returned to my property and promptly cleaned up every piece of concrete that was anywhere in the yard he gave the yard a thorough walk-through and made sure we’re his workers made the mistake of leaving this debris behind he made sure that he got every piece and everywhere it was left up and out and this is what I call professional this is what I called a professional man that stands behind that only the work that he presents but the workers that he that helps him to present it he did a thorough cleanup and this speaks volume for this man’s character and the way he does business and the way he stands behind his work and anything his workers may do that is not within his professional standards The patio is gorgeous and the cleanup was great thank you Mr. Romero I would highly recommend this young man his work is impeccable and he stands behind anything his workers do while on your property that is unprofessional And for this reason I would hire him again and I will refer him thank you Jose great job

I got my patio extended by 32x10 , then added a 10x10 slab .He came out and gave me a second consultation after I decided to add more on to my project... the day before the project. They arrived on time and went above and beyond to make it a nice experience. I wasn't home at time of project, everything he said they would do was accomplished. My dog's second water bowl was in yard and someone filled it up and placed it in his kennel with him +++. I told Jose that my yard was washing away. They placed dirt in low areas and leveled area in yard. I am so happy with everything.

Comments: Received quote for concrete patio in rear of house to my out building from Jose Ramiro, JV Concrete. I called later to tell Jose that I wanted him to do the job. Jose was really nice during the whole process. He brought his crew over on agreed time, built framing where I wanted the patio. Concrete laid. He instructed what I should do as far as waiting for drying time, etc. Two days later I observed holes in the concrete, (in size from smaller dime size, to over nickel size). I called Jose Ramero and explained the holes. He said he would come and check them out. He did exactly that. He came over and had no explanation, but no problem, Jose said he would come back and repair the holes. Got a good look at him before he left. Never saw him after that. I called him numerous times, left messages, left my number. No contact since. I had no problem getting Jose to answer his phone prior to doing the job, but no return call or answer. On top of that Jose cleaned out the bobcat bucket of concrete and water by pouring out in the back of my outbuilding. What a mess. I have a big mess that I will have to dig out of my yard and haul off. Please if you get this man Jose Ramero (JV Concrete) to do your work, you better inspect after drying time for holes and get him to repair before you pay. They do get bigger over time. I will have to get someone to repair.

Comments: The owner seemed very nice at first, I am a small business owner as well so I know how important it is to hire quality experienced professonals. We discuss what was expected of the job. He told me on several occasion that he would send over the contract and never did, He started the job a day early which was impressive he stated that he wanted to make sure he had time before the cement truck came out. I check with him about the contract and said he was going to send it over, I checked for the spelling of his company and stated that it was JV Paving and Concrete a little difference from what was on the card. He stated that it was a misprint on the card. Jose laid the concrete and returned that next morning to remove the wooden setting and put up equipment. I reached out to Jose about some concerns I had he said he would respond to them the next busness day. I have called him and left several messages and he has yet to respond. This is very dishearting because I dont want to give him a poor rating but his actions in resolving my issues is causing me a hardship I need my job complete to run my business properly now I am at stand still and my have to hire someone else to correct my issues that JV Paving and Concrete or JV Concrete is refusing to respond to. I am at a loss. I hope I hear from them soon and then maybe I can recommend them but right now it's a no for me. It is very sad that you cant trust or take a business owner at their word. That s what this country use to be built on.

Work Description: Driveway repair and extension

Comments: Jose was paid over and above the quoted price for the job he was hired for.
He didn’t have the right piece of equipment (Bobcat) and had to rent a “Dingo” at an additional $200.00. The actual rental cost was $280.00. We paid him $300.00.
We could have taken the position that any cost over-ride was his responsibility to pay for,...but we didn’t.
The job was not to our satisfaction... and we made him aware of that. His crew was preparing to leave and the concrete guy/truck had left.He made light of our dissatisfaction, but did agree to return... and make it right. I took him at his “word” and paid him “in full”, including as I said, for the rental.
There were repeated calls and texts sent to him... with no reply.
When he did finally reply and come out again, to also assess additional work that I wanted done, he refused to repair and make right the initial work, at his cost... as he had given his word that he would do.
After that, he would not respond to any calls or texts... and obviously had no intention of returning... as evidenced by the fact that he didn’t,
Other reviews echo the same complaint.
He is not a man of his word. I would not recommend him.

Jose your response to my husband’s review was wrong ,you are a very poor businessman instead of fixing the driveway for “your” mistake and taking care of the customer you respond to our review and defend your wrong doing.The picture you posted of our driveway with the cars in it was clearly taken way after the fact and sneaky do not enter my property again.The picture also clearly shows the poor workmanship of the crooked part to the right as you and your crew referred to as a breast with a nipple which was disrespectful to me as a women and very unprofessional.This is how you do business by defending your work that a customer was not happy with, I am sorry we paid you and trusted you,we told you and your crew that we weren’t happy right after the driveway was poured and that we wanted that one spot
to be fixed and you ignored it/ brushed us off.you were also unprepared you even asked us for a wheel barrel,as far as the side of the house what wires there was no wires?Anything that was done in the back was part of the grading work that you were paid for.My husband and I offered you and your crew cold drinks several times throughout the day and hot freshly made coffee and we treated you with respect as well as your crew, so don’t lay the blame on us it’s your business and this whole thing was unprofessional,you didn’t do the right thing by us.That’s just wrong and very poor business.Beware don’t pay if your not happy ,have it fixed first then pay...
First, you contracted us to do a section of your driveway that was cracked and messed up, that was our agreement. At the same time you had construction being done in your backyard, and on the right side of the house you had trenches where you are running wires that another company had done for you and left piles of dirt, from the trenches that they didn't cover back up and you told me that they did a disaster, so you asked me if I can help. While speaking to each other I had told you that since I had my bobcat present that I might as well grade it and make it look good, which was not part of our agreement, Yes or No? While grading the backyard I made it known that the side of the house was too muddy and that it was only going to make it worst, plus the bobcat was too wide for that section and you knew that we needed a smaller machine. Did I mention this to you, Yes or No? Up to this point it was 5 in the afternoon and there was nothing I could do right there and then, so it's no longer my responsibility because I helped as much as I could and you were fine with that, Yes or No? Then, you asked me how much I would charge to do the section with a smaller machine, and I told you to just pay me $200 for the rent of the equipment but that turned out to be $280, I even showed you the receipt you said it was ok and decided to give me $300 instead, Yes or No? With about 10 minutes before the dirt place closed you decided that you wanted to order 10 yards of dirt and run the big truck over the section where I was going to pour the concrete, which was ready and formed, and that you personally told me, you liked the way it looked, and destroyed the corner of your current concrete, because of the action you took, which I found out the next morning when I was already pouring. I had no choice but to leave it the way it was because it was already to late, I even told you. After all of this, I still went out of my way to help you grade the 10 yards that took me 4 hours to do and I DID NOT charge you for it, which I could have because it was still not part of our agreement. I also helped you take out a piece of plywood that was stuck on the wall, which took me about 30 minutes to do. How come you didn't mention this in your review? You want to bring all of this out because I didn't fix the error that YOU did, even after I told you that I would do it for $800. Today, January 17,2021, an hour before this, I went to go see the job and it looks beautiful and Mr. Peter even has his 4 cars parked on it and I have pictures to prove. If you would like to see the pictures you can go to my profile on Networx. If you want me to fix it, my offer of $800 is still up. Even after all of the disrespect my company has received from you, because we do things professionally from price to quality and no money in front.

the only problem I have is they came up two inches short on my concrete and has not called me back after several attempts to reach them. since he won't come and correct his mistake I have to pay out-of-pocket to have someone else correct it.. I will be reaching out to the Better Business Business Bureau after this.
