Comments: Please stay away from this company. The owner of this company, LaDarrel Roberts is rude, unreliable and doesn’t know what he is doing.I hired R&R construction company to extend my concrete patio through networx. LaDarrel came to work after calling/texting him multiple times. He would promise to come a certain day and would never show up. I’ve had to multiple days off work because he said he was coming to get the work done that day. He took over 2 weeks to complete my project and kept asking to pay him even before doing any work. I suspected something is wrong and only paid him half before the work was done. He was gone with the money and would not pick up my call until I filled an official complaint through networx. After multiple calls and text, be finally came to pour concrete.
He didn’t dig the whole area where he was supposed to put concrete and when I asked him about it he told me that grass will die once we put the concrete. He also did not put rods though out under the concrete to give it support. On top of all this, He gave slope towards my existing patio and while he was pouring concrete, I told him it looks wrong. He blamed my builder for giving wrong slope to my patio and constantly kept telling he has 25-30 years of experience and knows what he is doing.
Two days later, when it rained, I saw water was flowing back towards my house and getting stored near my wall. I told him to come and fix it. I sent him pictures and videos of what was happening and in reply he sent me rude texts, calling me blind and said that what he did was correct.
I again had to file complaint through networx and LaDarrel’s father came to my house to look at what’s going on. He poured some water and saw that it was going towards the house and figured his son’s mistake. He offered to have the price refunded back to me. Next day, LaDarrel calls and started blaming on my existing patio on the call and denied to do anything about the situation. He just wouldn’t accept his mistake; will not fix it nor will he provide refund. He will not accept his mistake even after his father agreed that the slope is wrong and water is getting stored near my house.
He took the money and did not finish the task. This contractor has messed up my yard. He dumped leftover concrete in my yard. Left wood that was used to make borders. He never came back to clean up or pick up extra dirt. He doesn’t have any clue about concrete jobs as he didn’t understand that if water goes underneath my existing patio or into the wall, it will start causing foundation issues down the road.
DO NOT go by the pictures he posted on networx as this company and the owners definitely don’t have common sense that water should flow away from house and not towards the house or underneath concrete. He claims 25-30 years of experience which you can easily figure out by reading my review. It has been very stressful working with him and will not recommend him to anyone.
