Work Description: Concrete Driveways/Floors - Install

Comments: I signed a contract with Roberts Concrete Services on Sep 13. The contract had a stipulation that the driveway wwould be completed in a reasonable time not to exceed 60 days. I paid him $2500.00 up front and the balance was due upon completion. As of today, day 57, he has only put a small section of forms in. There is no way he can complete the driveway within the next three days. He has called me numerous times saying he will be here tomorrow, but he never shows. I am sending him a letter terminating the contract due to his failure to complete the job in 60 days. I want my $2500.00 back in full. He has reviews with the BBB stating he refuses to refund deposits. He also has some felony charges against him. I am very unhappy with Home Adviser referring this company to me as a pro. I blame myself for not doing more research, but I used Home adviser before and got and excellent pro so I trusted their reference. I would strongly recommend you all not recommend this contractor to any one else.

Work Description: Patio slab, driveway replacement, grading, top soil spread, swales dug in

Comments: I hired this company on June 12 with the completion date of August 8. It has been nothing but a nightmare trying to get him out here to do the work. I’ve heard every excuse from tractor broken down trailer broken down truck broken down can’t get people to work I’m over it. I finally got my back slab for a couple weeks ago due to Mr. Villela having hired two people off of market placeWho he had never met before. He wasn’t even here for the poor and I am really lucky that the two had a little bit of skills but my slab does have pics and valleys and already showing service crack. I explained to Mr. Villella that I am a fall risk and that is why I needed to have my concrete work redone.

I have begged to tears trying to get this job done. I’m not going to bore everyone with the details but I found this man to be extremely unprofessional, and trustworthy, and in capable of doing the quality of work that he promised me spouting his 40 years of experience and being the best in the state of Florida and how I would have the most beautiful driveway in the state. I got a piece of crap driveway that didn’t even get troweled. The worker that was the only help that Mr. Vallejo I had to pour my driveway had been out partying the night before and according to Robert probably doing meth.

He also stated that the previous two workers didn’t come back because they were heroin addicts.
I wish this site would allow picture uploads as this is beyond horrible. It’s going to cost me thousands to correct this mess and here I sit 13200 out of pocket with 11200 plus having been paid into the contract and no swales, no dirt spread, no acceptable driveway and the grading isn’t done.

I have had many disappointments trying to rebuild after hurricane Michael but I must say.... the hateful threatening calls and delay after delay have caused me health issues with uncontrollable blood pressure etc with Mr. Villella knowing very well that I am sick and dying, yet I had to go out and prevent blows happening in my driveway between Robert and the concrete delivery driver. He will try to say it was all the driver as he has tried to blame everyone all along but I heard him calling the driver cuss words when I went outside long before he came and got me, a 60 year old sick woman to deal with the argument.
My concrete got too hot during the 2 hour argument I was unaware of until I was summoned to be the peace keeper.

This has been a horrible horrible experience and I seriously regret how nice I was through all of this until Mr Villella tried to con me out of the bus I own a few days ago and turned his filthy tongue on me. I won’t be pushed to argument again. My attorney can do the fighting from here on out

Work Description: Concrete Flatwork - Repair & Resurface

Comments: Robert had a hard time getting someone to work. The concrete was not smoothed out and leveled. Robert asked for money in the middle of the work which I didn't like but gave him to get the job to continue. I would not recommend him to anyone else.
The contract was completed within 30 days her drive needed to be removed and replaced. So, she did not want to do that. So I skim coated, a really bad area ,then did crack repairs in other areas of the driveway. I had her sign a contract, that clearly states this was not a permanent repair and it may last who knows, she agreed to the terms then she picked a color . I did the job it looks pretty darn good considering. But if you would like to view the contract contact me. I'll be glad to e. Mail you a copy she has never called me and complained. I found out on my own she posted this review. I've been doing concrete work of all types well over 30 years, most of my customers are great people.but when your dealing with the public. Your not gonna be able to satisfy everyone . But, I try to do my best. Pls. Don't let someone like that have any credibility without my side of story. Thank you . Robert villella. Roberts concrete. Comments: The work itself was sub par. I hired Roberts Services because he was the cheapest which led to the cheapest product. My fault. The 20’X36’ slab is un level with hills and valleys throughout. As far as professionalism is concerned, the appearance, work, unpredictability, and personality of Robert from Roberts Services was unexpectedly unpleasant. The job was under bid and rescheduled multiple times. Loads of concrete were cancelled by Robert without my knowing which severely hindered my schedule. One very unprofessional conversation between Robert and myself led to his threatening me with the presence of his four sons. I absolutely will not be recommending Roberts Services to anyone for any reason.
You had me out till 1 in the morning in the woods with no light. Also, it was 35 degrees outside and I warned you that pouring concrete in the dark as well as freezing temperatures will never be a great combination. Due to the hurricanes that have been recently in the area there is a HIGH demand for concrete and because of this, it is resulting in a 2-3 week waiting time in your specific area... I went above and beyond with what your demands were. I gave you my professional opinion to NOT pour and to wait but you told me to move forward with the project. I have been in the industry for 40 years and will CONTINUE to provide excellent work to anyone that wants a quality and professional job. I wish you the very best in the future as well as encourage you to have patience instead of rushing through things.
