Comments: Had decided to buy tarps to put on my roof until such time as I had the $$$$$ to pay for a replacement roof.Called around, checked online for quotes. Rick offered the most reasonable price, but not the cheapest. (You pay for what you get. )
Since he took the time to come to my home, actually look at the project and give me a WRITTEN ESTIMATE on the repairs, gave me a turn around time line for completed work, and was very easy to work with, I chose him instead of numerous others I also received both written and verbal quotes from. He LISTENED TO ME.
I do my homework and I purchased the extra heavy duty tarps myself, on sale, so I was paying him for labor only.
He was as good as his word, no hidden fees, and got everything completed in a timely manner. When I have more work that needs to be done, I’ll call him again. He’s a nice person to work with and he’s honest. Thanks Rick! The tarps will secure my home for as long as I need them without my having to spend tens of thousands of $$$$ for something I can’t afford right now.

Comments: WARNING: AVOID RICK'S HOME REMODELING or RICK'S HOME REMODELING AND HANDYMAN SERVICES (Same Company)We had Rick come out to give us an estimate for tearing up and installing new tile flooring which we moved forward because the price was right. Initially, things seemed to be going well. Rick was friendly and persuaded us to hire him for a few additional small jobs around the house while his workers were inside working on the floor.
About a week into the project, Rick requested a portion of the payment in cash to pay his workers. He stated that his workers needed to be paid in cash. The remainder was to be paid via Venmo and check. While I was at a sporting event, he repeatedly asked me to Venmo the remaining payment since the floor was done. I trusted him, and that was entirely my mistake. I should have known better. When I returned home and saw the finished work, I was horrified! There were glue footprints all over our brand new tile floor, grout lines were uneven, grout was everywhere, the tile was uneven, paint was missing under cabinets, and my door wouldn't close properly, among many other careless errors that a "professional" should have been aware of.
My husband contacted Rick to fix the issues immediately. Rick returned but the floor was ruined. He claimed he never trained his workers to use sanded grout, even though thats what he requested for us to buy. After about a month of Rick coming back twice a week for 10-15 minutes each time and failing to make any progress my husband and I were forced to hire another company to correct his mistakes, which ended up costing us more than double. Rick's consistent excuses and failure to reimburse us left us profoundly disappointed. I strongly discourage anyone against hiring Rick's Home Remodeling.
Even though he promised to reimburse us for the trouble, he never followed through. While I am not one to leave negative reviews, I wish I would have done more research before hiring.

Once the windows came in, he installed them and installed trim on the outside and inside of all five windows. His price was very reasonable. Comments: Rick was hired to replace an entire house full of windows. He was inconsistent with the truth in communicating with the homeowner and he measured most of the windows incorrectly which caused the windows to be either too big or too small for the openings. He did not measure one replacement window before removing the old one, braking the old one in the process. He damaged the house forcing the incorrectly measured window into place. Rick was asked to make the situation of the incorrectly measured windows right but he refused and instead left the job leaving an unfinished and poor job behind. The windows were paid for in full. Several contractors brought into the situation after Rick walked off the job, were shocked how shoddy the work was. This was verified by the window manufacturer who also saw his work. He left holes in the siding and left windows unsealed. They look terrible and the entire window project has to be started over with correctly measured window. We are out 31,800.00 He walked off the job and refuses to do anything to mitigate the situation. He has other negative reviews on other sites as well. Buyer beware.

Comments: They did an awesome job of patching our roof, patching a hole in our ceiling, hanging new light fixtures and reinforcing the flooring in our attic so that we could use it for storage. Ricky provided a detailed quote and explanation of the labor/supplies needed to properly complete the work. The cost was affordable and they delivered above and beyond our expectations! We will certainly contact them in the future for all of our home repair/remodel needs.-
