Work Description: Simple toilet replacement.
Comments: I could have done this job myself but chose to let the “professionals” take care of it. Of course I did not ask what the cost of labor would be. The average is $185-400 but you charged more. We also did not select our own toilet which was clearly a mistake on my part. This is my feedback for your future reference:1) Ralph Came not between 9-11AM as promised but at around 11:45. I asked him how long the installation would take (since I had an appointment in Hudson that afternoon) and he said 45 min. to an hour. Two and a half hours later he was leaving. 2) I had to go to the local hardware store to get a part because he did not have a flex connector with him. He said to get a 16” and that’s what I bought but it was actually longer than necessary. He bent it around and made it work.
3) Ralph did not flush the intake line before installing the new toilet so now the valve is partially clogged and will either have to be replaced or removed and cleaned if possible.
4) The flush valve was not properly adjusted so the level in the tank was about half of the proper level. 5) The flapper chain was also not properly adjusted so most of the time the flapper would stay open leaving the toilet running continuously.
I took care of the adjustments myself and now things seem to be working pretty well (except that it takes a very long time to fill due to the clogged valve.)
My intention is not to complain nor to insult anyone but simply to inform you that we were not satisfied with the quality of service and also felt that we overpaid to some degree.
