Comments: WARNING – In October 2024, we hired Paul & Sons Home Improvement // Paul & Sons Construction // Sky Vision Construction, run by Paul, to rebuild the concrete entrance steps to our Brooklyn townhouse. Paul personally came to our home for the estimate, and we agreed on a specific price, materials, and timeline. However, on the first day, a different crew of workers showed up, and Paul was nowhere to be found.These men were unlicensed subcontractors who clearly lacked the experience and skills needed for the job, and communication with them was extremely difficult. They began work that was completely different from what we discussed and ended up causing damage to other areas of our home in the process. It took hours of calls to reach Paul, and even when we finally got through, he refused to come to the site and address the issues. After lengthy back-and-forth conversations, he eventually admitted he couldn’t complete the job, leaving us with an incomplete, hazardous demolition site and no steps to safely access our home.
Not only did they abandon the project, but they also left behind a pile of rubble and a hole where the steps should have been, dumping pre-mixed concrete and bricks into the space and walking away. Although Paul initially promised to send someone to clean up the mess, we never heard from him again.
Sky Vision Construction proved to be unprofessional and unqualified for concrete work, leaving our home in disrepair and creating safety concerns for us and our business. Based on our experience, we strongly urge others to avoid working with Paul & Sons / Sky Vision Construction.

Work Description: Repave concrete sidewalk in a landmark district of manhattan.
Comments: I picked Paul's Construction because they seemed responsive, professional, and were willing to offer a better price than nearly all of the competition. I was a bit worried that they might compromise on quality so I asked for some customer references, which they were able to provide. I was very satisfied with the finished product, and could find no fault with it. I chose to handle the landmarks filing myself, but Paul's Construction applied for the DOB permit. As far as I could tell, they followed all the necessary regulations in the work they did, including even having a designated person to direct traffic during the brief period when the street had to be closed off. Overall, very professional and accommodating. I would definitely use them again.

Work Description: Two parts of concrete work was done: the sidewalk and the small walkway beside our house. The sidewalk is ~700 sf and the walkway is much smaller.
Comments: Overall, I would recommand Paul's Construction Corp.I'll give them all 5 stars for the sidewalk. The job was done beautifully and quickly. Paul even help us save some money by keeping all non-broken blocks of concrete, which is harder for him to wrok around and earn him less money. I highly recommand him for that part of job.
For the small walkway, I would give a 5 star for the concrete work but only 3 star for the cleanup, which including concrete pieces on our lawn and delay of wood frame removal. I have to go to work when the walkway was done, and I think that most of these would be fixed immediately if you could monitor the job.
Paul's price is much lower than the other guy refer by this site, but I did get two lower quotes from ads in newspapers. The problem is that one of the cheaper constructor wanted us to get the permit for the sidewalk (which is not legal) and the other one didn't even know that a permit is required. Therefore, I still give him a 5 star on the price.
