Work Description: Replaced cement approach, stairway leading to lower patio and replaced the patio. Also corrected drainage issue and built a two-level stone planter.
Comments: Mr. Henes will do the job the right way and does not cut corners just to save you money now so it has to be redone again in a few year (and possibly cause more damage). If you want a cheap, quick band-aid so the issue looks like it's fixed, then he is not the mason you call. He finds why a problem happened and explains the right way to fix it for good. In my case, the previous mason did not tell me the downspout drainage was an issue but also used soil to fill behind his new stairway 8 years ago. Mr Henes explained the soil held water so when it froze in winter and expanded it caused the stairway to crack apart only to allow more water to get behind the stairway. I would have preferred the job done right the first time so it would last for many many years.
