Comments: Whom ever is writing good reviews for this company(Karen Smiley and her partner in crime Dan Cordar) are either them or their friends. They DO NOT have license to have a business in Florida. These people are liars and thieves. It’s been 8 months and my windows have not come in yet.

Comments: This pretentious company is a thief and probably a scam. It took thousands of dollars as a deposit from me . They did no work and would not give my money back. This took place 6 months ago. Once they got my check, they cashed it the very next day because the bank called me. That Company never called me once she left my house. All communications were initiated by me. First,they were too busy to get to me, next, she was going to try to fit me in. Nothing happened so two months later, I told her I was going to get someone to do it and I wanted a refund of my deposit. Never heard from her. I kept calling and she told me a check had been mailed, then she was going to find out what had happened, next she was having trouble with her phone. Finally , she stopped taking my calls. Better Business Bureau tried to help but said the company would not respond to them.

Work Description: Handicap Bathroom Remodel

Comments: My heart is broken. I needed to get my bathroom ready for my disabled husband to be able to come home from the rehabilitation center after a heart attack and stroke. I spoke to a few contractors and Karen Smiley promised me the world, they didn't quite deliver. I was promised they'd start work on September 9th and be done by September 11th or 12th. I made arrangements to be out of town and out of the way. I left my adult Son to let them in and out as they needed. They never showed up and communication was far and in between. They finally started a week later after I returned home. Now I was in the middle of the dusty mess. They finished up with the marble window sill pieced and grouted together like a five year old would do (an eye sore). The bench (which I did not ask for) in the shower is way too tall, we'll never be able to use it as a bench (a good shower catch all, ugh). They made the door way from the bedroom to the bathroom wider, but didn't finish it. It didn't get painted above the molding and the wall on the other side sticks out over the molding. They replaced the tile on the shower floor. I like the tile, but the tiles are not flush. Some protrude above others. It is kind of uncomfortable to walk on. This is my retirement home and now I'll have to "live" with this mess until I can afford to have it redone. It is functional and my husband will be able to come home. However, it is a very unprofessional job and hugely disappointing. I am so sad.

Comments: Agree with everyone cancelled the job within three daysno materials were ordered and she stated she would return my deposit of $1000 dollars. Guess what. No deposit returned. Contacting att general office and bbb. Sad story but will fight for money in court I guess

Comments: Talked to Karen Smiley 16Jul18 asking for my deposit back minus taking down screen enclosure, she said she would send me an invoice, guess that means not sending a check. These people are not licensed, they Chang the name of their company when they get a lot of bad reviews, have been in legal trouble.
People do not hire this company or these people. Not trustworthy at all. The sunroom should not have taken this long or ordering windows.

Comments: This is in response to this company’s answer to my first review. They stated it will take 28 days for the replacement windows to come in although it only took 2 weeks for the first ones to come in, strange. Still no communication until today when a department of the Attorney General called Karen, then I called her asking for my deposit back minus $300 for the removable of the screen enclosure. Karen said she would send me an invoice, not really what I asked for. These people change the name of their company often plus they are not licensed to work in the state of Florida.
CARMEN, WHAT YOU WERE TOLD IS THAT THE FACTORY HAS A STANDARD LEAD TIME IF 28 DAYS TO 8 WEEKS. THEY MAKE THIS TIME LINE, NOT US! IF THEY GET THEM DONE FASTER, THAN WONDERFUL, WE CAN ALL MOVE FORWARD, HOWEVER, WE DO NOT KNOW WHAT OTHER ORDERS THAT THEY HAVE PRIOR TO YOURS. WE ARE LICENSED WITH THE STATE OF FLORIDA AS LLC CORPORATION. WHEN THE WINDOWS COME, IN, YOU WILL HAVE THE OPTION OF FINISHING YOUR PAYMENT FOR THEM AND YOU WILL HAVE OWNERSHIP OF THEM. THAT CHOICE IS YOURS, HOWEVER AS THESE ARE CUSTOM, WE CAN NOT RETURN THEM AND RECIEVE REIMBURSEMENT. THERE IS ADDITIONALLY THE DEMO AND DUMP FEES FOR THE PREVIOUS UNIT. AS YOU WERE TOLD, WE WILL SEND OVER INVOICE AND GO FROM THERE. HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY!

Work Description: Was suppose to remodel my screened room into a sun room. Gave them a deposit on 5Jun2018 they never came back, can’t contact them. Beware of this one, Karen Smiley and Samuel Cordar.

Carmen The review that you are posting is far from accurate. We wrote the contract and did a 1500 deposit when it was supposed to be double that. You knew that the windows needed to be ordered. Against better judgement, I sent the guys out to do the demolition of the existing unit and haul it away while we were waiting on the windows. That has been completed. Windows were ordered as agreed upon and when they came in, one was shattered and one of the others for the side of the room next to the door, came in wrong size. Both of those had to be sent back and reordered. The normal lead time for custom ordered windows is 28 days to 8 weeks. We are very sorry that you feel this way, however, we can only go as fast as the distributors will allow. As the windows are already paid for on our end and demo has been completed, we would love to complete this project with you. There were definitely no ill intentions on our part

Comments: Karen smiley and her partner in this business are Crooks Karen smiley has a long record of doing this dating back to Michigan and in Sarasota she has been arrested several times she comes out looks at the job gets a bed and ask for half the money and never returns does not return phone calls there's company there's nothing but a bunch of Thieves they will only get away with it for so long it will catch up with her I guarantee

Work Description: Was suppose to make my screened patio into a sunroom. Signed contract on 5Jun, gave $1500 deposit, took screen down on 11Jun. I’ve called numerous times, got a text windows would be in 30Jun, called, emailed and texted finally got a text saying she’s in a meeting. Today is 1Jul haven’t heard from anyone from this company. I think I have been scammed, yet again. How can these people look at themselves in the mirror. Talked to someone at Networx was told I was not the first to be treated like this, so why does Networx still have them on their list??

Work Description: Replace front door and storm door, add new molding, pick up new fiberglass stairs, install new handrails, and install new stairs and haul off old, remove carpet in bedroom and closet and install laminate flooring and baseboards, remove old bathroom vent (x2) and install new, remove old light fixtures (2) and install new, repair tile backboard (missing pieces) and grout entire kitchen backsplash, Hang door in install hardware. install missing piece of baseboard in dining room, drill holes in cabinets for door pulls, drill holes in 3 cabinets for adjustable shelving, replace ceiling fan in home office.

Comments: I am very pleased with the work that was performed. Actually, the owner, Karen, went above and beyond in service. She was able to locate and pick-up items I was unable to find and she delivered them to my home. I will definitely hire them for more projects in the future.

Work Description: BAD job Did not finish

This project could have been a terrific one if number one the proper materials have been ordered, a bad check had not been issued and the materials were staged properly throughout the property. Initially entering into the contract we gave a material list to the client and the son-in-law ordered the materials . Instead of using traditional drywall on the ceiling like he should have in a single-story home he decided he was going to use 12 foot sheets of fire board which are 100 pounds per sheet. When you have 300 of them to be moved that is not a good thing. The materials were supposed to be staged in the house and instead or dropped in the garage so the man had To move the drywall in additional 300+ feet to get it into the house. Try holding 100 pounds up to a 14 foot ceiling. I did tell him that we had no problem going forth with the project as long as the materials were moved to the proper locations. We pride ourselves on commitment to quality and when we commit to a Contract and agree on materials changes nullify the contract unless agreed by both parties. We also received a $6800 bad check. We still have not received any payment on work that was completed.

Comments: They replaced the wall and upgraded the structure without additional charge and did the work in a timely manner. They arrived on time and completed the job on time.
