Comments: We hired NRB Home Services to clean up two flower beds, trim four bushes, remove a small tree, and cover the hole where the tree was with soil and seed. The worker arrived around 9:30 am and left around 11:15 am, and there was only one person. The worker didn't inform me when he arrived, started working, or finished. Once I noticed he was done, I went outside to inspect the work.First, I saw that the four bushes were uneven and of different heights (two tall and two short bushes). When I moved some of the mulch, I discovered that the weeds were still there, just covered up with mulch. The hole where the tree was removed was filled with the same clay that came out with the tree, without any fresh soil or seed.
I contacted the person I hired to report these issues. Instead of addressing my concerns, he immediately became defensive and blamed me for neglecting the bushes. A few hours later, he sent a message asking, "Do I need to bring all the yard waste back?" I found this message threatening, as it seemed like he intended to dump the waste in my yard. When I confronted him about it, he denied threatening me and sent a screenshot of the definition of "threat."
For over $800, the service provided was unacceptable. The bushes were poorly trimmed, the weeds were merely covered with mulch, and the tree removal was inadequately addressed with just clay. The tree was small, about 7 feet tall, and dead. Given the poor quality of work and the unprofessional response from the contractor, I cannot recommend NRB Home Services. My experience with them was disappointing and frustrating.
