Work Description: Decks/Porches/Ramps - Repair
Comments: This entire experience has been bad. He charged me a small fortune to rebuild a deck, $4000 for the labor plus I bought all the supplies and the quality of work wasn't great. He cut through some wires and that left me without lights or power in my bedroom for five days, the edge of the decking boards aren't even (a few are shorter than the others), only one side of the boards are ink stamped, yet, in many places he put the boards with the ink stamp facing up so it can be seen from the top of the deck, he promised to come back and get the old decking he removed but 4 weeks later I still have a large pile of old decking in my yard and he hasn't answered my calls or text messages concerning this. Some of the trim was put on backwards (the mitered edge face the wall and the flat edge faces the trim it meets), some of the nails are sticking up because they weren't hammered in all the way, he removed some outside lights to replace some of the wood and just left those lights hanging down (one large light is literally dangling in front of the door). He ordered 20 too many pieces of 12 foot pressure treated boards so now I have $135.00 worth of boards that I can't return because I don't have a truck. A few pieces are acceptable but twenty is excessive. In one place on the deck he chose to use a piece of wood with a large dark defect on it (approx 10" x 2") even though there were 20 extra pieces of wood he could have chosen from. At the very least he could have installed that piece of wood face down so the flaw couldn't be seen but it's face up and noticeable from the top of the deck. He left a row of boards hanging 10-12 inches over the edge of the deck. I asked him to fix that so he leaned over the edge of the railing and cut them with reciprocating saw so now those edges are jagged and uneven. Pictures to back up my review can be provided.-
