Work Description: Trimmed back overhanging tree limbs, shaped shrubbery
Comments: I am in the habit of counting my blessings, especially the unexpected but desperately needed blessings. Monster Tree Service of the Brazos Valley (MTS) blessed my life every time I dealt with them:I first became aware of MTS by a flyer on my door. I don’t normally respond to door hangers but the company’s employees that I had previously used had either “aged out” or moved on to pursue their own dreams. That company no longer existed. I was desperately in need of some help in this area! That flyer was Blessing #1.
So I called and spoke with Ryan, the Office Manager. She was very helpful, professional, courteous, and friendly. She was able to help me define exactly what I needed. Blessing #2.
Her demeanor prompted me to give MTS a chance. She arranged to have the owner, Tim, come and give me an estimate for the work I needed done. When he visited with me about the job, he took great pains to understand exactly what my needs and expectations were. I was able to talk about finances and arrange a payment plan t o have all the work paid for by the end of the following month. Blessings #3 and 4.
To my surprise and gratitude, MTS did not wait until the next month but came that next week in preparation for an upcoming storm. Apparently they took into account the damage those tornadic gale-force winds that were predicted to come careening through our area - again - could be expected to do and came early. Blessing #5.
WOW! I could not believe the job MTS did for me! The main limbs were actually from the neighbor’s tree. They were providing a highway for rats to gain access to our house through the attic because the limbs were literally laying on my roof. I was not aware that rats don’t jump - they must have direct contact getting to their destination. Considering I wasn’t even aware of those facts until after MTS was done and gone, I definitely count their work protecting me against future rat infestations as Blessing #6!
My Home Health Aide had been upset because I had not had her family and friends do this tree work for me. However, she was amazed as she watched the MTS men working. She said they obviously knew what they were doing. They trimmed back the limbs a little at a time so that as the limbs were cut they were being held and then immediately carried away. There wasn’t any chance of the limbs falling and damaging the roof or the fence (or people). Then they cleaned up any kindling or wood chips as they worked. Watching them work helped my Aide understand the danger involved in this kind of work and she was grateful that I had taken the safety of her friends and family into consideration when I chose MTS. Blessing? Of course! It is an unexpected blessing, but a blessing nonetheless, to have understanding come when you are not aware any was missing. Blessing #7, most assuredly.
They repeated these steps for the tree laying on the patio roof only this time they had to work around many pieces of kitchen-type equipment. Nothing was even touched. You could not tell MTS had been there unless you looked up into the tree. Blessing #8.
When they shaped the shrubbery, they took the time to remove the dead parts of the shrubbery and also to remove the tree growing next to the house and up through the shrubbery. The work they did greatly improved the appearance of my home from the outside, increasing its value. Blessing #9!
When they were done, the team lead took photographs and texted them to me so I could see how everything looked (I am bedridden). What business takes the time to do things like that for a client, especially in this day and age of reluctant workers? Definitely Blessing #10.
As I said, MTS blessed my life at every stage of my dealings with them. I know they will do the same for you. Yes, they’re THAT kind of a business, made up of THAT kind of people. (…and no, I did NOT get paid for this endorsement.
