Work Description: Amazing Deck & Screened-In Porch!

Comments: Mike, Chris, and the rest of the team did absolutely incredible work on our project. We had a deck with a screened in porch below that had a number of problems with it. The deck and stairs were unsafe to walk on, the screened-in porch didn't drain properly, and the space was generally unusable.

MDR came in and completely changed the space and have made it into a beautiful backyard paradise for my husband and I to enjoy. The craftsmanship was superior, the design was carefully considered and Chris gave us phenomenal advice on how to greatly improve the space.

The final product came out beautiful, solidly made, and my husband and I couldn't be happier. We will definitely be using MDR for all future projects!

Work Description: New deck and front porch

Comments: I am very satisfied with how the deck and front porch turned out and the professionalism of Sam and Chris.

However, the steps are a different story. We had to get concrete poured which was 1,000 extra dollars. Instead of the steps being taken up then the concrete poured they had to pour the concrete in front of the steps. I informed Mike that I wasn’t happy with the way it looked and the only thing they did was pour concrete under the steps to support them instead of redoing the steps so that the bottom step sits on the concrete. I recommended Mike’s company to 2 of my neighbors and their steps and porch look great and one of my neighbors is going to get a deck built.
I’m still not satisfied with the steps after paying 20k.
(I wish I could post pictures of my steps compared to my neighbors steps). Overall
Hi Brian . Im very sorry your not happy with the way the steps had to be done but the concrete was not part of the original job and steps would of cost an additional $3500 to rebuild . We gave you concrete at cost and it does look nice .

Comments: Mike and his team review the old deck and made a plan to repair and fix the old contractors work. They were very reasonable in price, time, and support for all the changes with the project. Their team worked through the weekend to finish up the deck and completed a fantastic job. Very professional and already recommended them to others for their projects.

Comments: Mike was fantastic to work with during the entire process from getting the estimate for the job to completion. Workers were on time (actually early), hard working, and pleasant. Comments: Ron, Chris, and their team created a beautiful portico, new walkway, and driveway for us. Not a day goes by that we don't remark on how happy we are with the results.
They were always helpful, personable, interactive and anxious to make sure we were happy with the project every step of the way.
Ron checked in frequently and offered insights on the design of our projects. Ron was also very precise about associated costs and payment schedule so we knew exactly what to expect.

Comments: If you are looking for mediocre work or a company that will try and nickel and dime you for every little detail, this isn’t the contractor for you. If you are looking for a gentleman that takes a glimpse of an idea out of your head regarding your perfect safe place home and to turn it into something that you only think exists in movies, you’ve stumbled upon the right team. Mike is very hands-on and aims to please at every phase of the project. I’d prefer that you didn’t use MDR so you can free them up for all the tasks I have dreamed of because they are simply the best. Second to none, and they keep raising the bar. Affordable and the quality of work is OUTSTANDING! I can’t sing enough praises of MDR where I feel that Mike and Chris are a part of my family. If you are looking for any improvement in your home, look no further. This is the place to go.
Mike-You’ve made the small portion of the back of my home the focal point and the section that every memory will be made in moving forward. Thank you does not do the justice of the joy you have brought to my family. Comments: got a ballpark estimate that was much higher than expected; almost double. They may do excellent work but I am to shop around a bit. However they did respond in a day.
thank you for the opportunity to quote your job . We are a little more expensive than some but the quality of our work is excellent and we have to pay our guys accordingly . We also have minimums for smaller jobs such as your patio to cover cost of transporting machinery to and from a jobsite.

Comments: Mike and MDR 's crew are pro's at what they do, one week, they demoed, set forms, poured concrete, stone veneered the front half walls, garden walls, porch, stairs and can't forget the side walk. Comments: I tried to find an email for you to email you directly, but could not. One month after the new asphalt, grass has started growing up through it. I have picked all of it out, but I know this should not happen with a new asphalt driveway. Please help! Seal it up! I have the photos of the grass before I picked them out if that would help!

Work Description: 15x14 deck made of #2 pressure treated wood.

Comments: Overall we are happy with our deck, it looks good, and we received compliments. The pricing was in the range of other contractors, very fair, and the workers were punctual.
There are some things we didn't like. When putting up the deck MDR cut through the vinyl siding, leaving 2 to 3 inch cut-outs next to the deck where the insulation is now exposed. Other decks in our neighborhood had the anchors drilled through the siding, so no exposed insulation -- we don't know why MDR didn't do this. We had lattice work put around our deck that wasn't matched-up, and quite a few of the pickets on the deck were loose, and some were split. We can fix these things with extra work we weren't planning to do. Again, however, the deck is nice and we are enjoying it!

Comments: Mike was very knowledge and accommodating. His crew was very hard working (no nonsense).They arrived ready to work and on time, The foreman explained the process and time frame. Very professional and courteous. My wife and I are very pleased with the outcome. I had a number of estimates and MDR cost was in the ballpark. They completed the job in the scheduled time frame. They cleaned up and placed top soil and seeded around the drive way and patio. I highly recommend MDR Contracting and planning on using them for future deck work.

Comments: Mike and his crew are outstanding, they arrived on time, have detailed explanations of the process. Very professional and courteous. Maintained positive attitudes as the day dragged on.
