Comments: We had a contract to remove an area that was overgrown. The purpose was for fire mitigation. MST left 23-30% undone and wanted 50% above the contract to complete the job. He said he only had the opportunity to convey the scope of work electronically but failed to clear up any potential limits to service when we walked the property together, negating his claim. The original quote as $1,800, and he wanted another $1,000 to finish the work.

Sorry to hear about your frustrations Suzanne. I know that wild fire on your property and close to your home is extremly stressful. Im sorry we couldn't work things out and be of more help to you. Stated on your estimate/invoice form the job quoted was for the fire mitigation for the hawthorn clusters to the West and North of your chicken coop. I communicated this in person the morning we were to start. After asking you if there was more specifics you'd like me to focus on at which point you deferred to my discretion. This decision was no problem as I am a Certified Arborist, carry a high standard for tree practice and have many years experience. We stayed late for you, bled for you and made sure all the other pruning by your home was done to your liking before leaving your property at which point you had no problem paying the agreed upon amount. Find someone else to work with in the future as Mad Sons Trees will not be bullied into doing free work for you.
