Work Description: Major home remodel constructions with addition of 310sqft on lower level and 1000sqft on the upper level
Comments: We bought a house built by this contractor. Brand new house, ceiling in our lower level leaked within the first rains. He had to open 1/3 of our living room ceiling to figure out what is going on. One leaky bath pipe issue and one serious leak throughout upstairs patio. While he fixed the issue, it was a total nightmare dealing with full blown construction in the house. I had to tell him what to waterproof or seal in order to stop the leak as it was an issue from the balcony but he wanted to continue opening multiple drywalls in the house. In the meantime, foundation of the house flooded consistently due to bad design and incline where the side of the house will not drain toward the street but flow back under the house into the foundation. He was obviously no assistance for this and I had drains installed all around the house to fix the problem. Same way the front of the house entry puddles every rain instead of flowing to the street. Now less than 3 years later another leak this time on the upper level. Multiple leaks throughout hallway, master closet, and guest bedroom ceiling and wall. Issue has to do with waterproofing and cracking on this brand new roof 3 years old roof. Probably an easy fix but contractor not wiling to offer help or take accountability. Told me to take a hike basically as well as developers. For people that 3x their investment on such crappy constructions, I would stay away from this contractor if you wish to avoid any additional cost to you in the next years as well as just to save yourself from incompetency. Maybe he was a better contractor in the past and quality has gone down. Not sure what the true reason is but this is our experience.
