He loves what he does and wanted to expand his own roofing business. Jorge takes pride in the quality of the work he provides for his customers and makes sure they are 100% satisfied.

Work Description: Roof, barge board and T-111 replacement
Comments: I received quotes from 6 different roofing companies. I decided to go with JVL. I choose them not because of the price (mid tear pricing), but their company also worked on siding and that was important to me. I have a two story house and I didn't want to tackle siding near my chimney. I also decided to pay to remove my barge boards. The team was really good and the communication was as good. I constantly chatted with Nephi and we were on the same page on pricing and what I wanted to have replaced including my roof. Although I gave 5 stars, there were several things I suggest you check after completion of the job. One of my bullet points on my contract ready "Protect home's plants and landscape" I noticed that one of the barge boards landed on one of my mature hydrangea. The team did not inform me although it was pretty obvious. Another bullet point states "Clean up jobsite, run magnet to remove nails" Second that the guys clearly did not remove all of the nails after the completion of the job. They simply didn't roll my property with the magnetic roller. Nephi compensated me for the plant and brought someone back out to my property to collect the nails that were out in the open including my driveway where I park my cars. I personally was able to pick up roughly 30 various nails on my own. Again just make sure that you review the work and don't be intimated on asking questions during the actual project and after the project has been completed. I gave a 5-star review and would have no problem recommending JVL to my friends and family in the future Best of luck to whomever you decide to have work done as pricing for roof replacements have really gone up in the last two years!Portland OR

Comments: JLV Construction replaced a roof at our old Hillsboro home and did such an excellent job that we didn’t hesitate to call them again when we moved to Tigard and needed to replace our current home’s roof. They are a quality local contractor that purchases quality local material and completed the job, including cleanup, in within the 3 days they quoted us. Comments: I am very impressed with JLV Construction. This was my first "new roof" from being a homeowner and this was a great experience for something so intimidatingly and potentially costly. Nephi was fast with communication, offered shingle samples, and had us scheduled really quickly as our roof was in pretty bad shape. His team was phenomenally efficient, respectful, and tidy. So much that several of my neighbors were complimenting about it. I appreciated the fact that they washed my back patio as well. When Nephi came back to inspect the completed work, he even found a rogue shingle that accidentally fell in the neighbor's yard and wen't to collect it. I would recommend!Hillsboro OR

Comments: After researching over thirty highly rated roofing companies on Angi, Google, Yelp, and HomeAdvisor, I met with twelve. Our family chose JLV Construction to replace our roof for the following reasons:1. Malarkey Emerald Pro certified
2. Over 10+ years in business, a mark of a reliable company which executes high quality work.
3. Roofers are in-house employees who receive ongoing training from JLV. Several of the highest rated roofing companies with whom I met use subcontractors.
4. Prompt and professional from the first contact. JLV responded to my questions usually within the hour and always within 24 hours.
5. JLV uses the complete brand roofing system. Several highly rated companies use their own brand of underlayment and other roof components.
6. JLV made thoughtful recommendations rather than profit driven ones.
7. The estimate was very competitive and detailed.
After the contract was signed:
1. Roof replacement was scheduled in a timely manner.
2. The roofers, led by Sergio, were some of the hardest workers I’ve met. Careful, knowledgeable, efficient, courteous.
3. The crew maintained a positive attitude and exhibited high effort over multiple days. This speaks volumes about the company culture at JLV. It’s evident the company cares about and invests in their employees. In turn, their employees clearly care about their quality of work and the company and its customers.
4. The owner was onsite almost every work day to touch base with the crew. He was available to us as well and he conducted a comprehensive review after project completion.
5. At the end of each work day, the crew were meticulous about cleaning up the work area. They used a nail sweep and broom, blowers, and picked up nonmagetic nails and staples by hand.
6. JLV sent out a crew within 3 hours after I contacted them about a small matter.
Choosing the right roofing contractor is one of the most important decisions a homeowner can make. After much research online and meeting company representatives, we were confident JLV Construction was the best roofing contractor for our whole roof replacement. The project experience and result solidified that JLV Construction was the right choice.

Comments: We had a fanstastic experience with JLV. We were looking to do a full roof/gutter/paint job, and had shopped around with several companies. When JLV showed up to do the initial inspection and bid, we knew right away this was the company we were going to go with. They did a really thorough inspection, and really took extra time to show us what they noticed and what it would mean for the job. Way better energy than the other companies that we had bids from.The job itself was superb. At the end of each day, the foreman would walk the site with us and summarize the day's progress and go over any concerns we might have. It was a great personal touch. The quality of work was excellent, and timely. We were super happy with the results, and we are very glad that we went with JLV.

Comments: We would give JLV Construction our highest recommendation. We did essentially three jobs with them a new roof, gutters and a complete house painting. They did a fantastic job on all of these projects. The work was done very professionally and in less time than we'd anticipated.Asael was an incredible communicator, keeping us informed every step of the project including sharing pictures and anything we'd need to know in real time. They cleaned up fully after themselves and even returned for a couple of tiny final touch ups that we'd asked for to complete the job.
We are so grateful we chose JLV for the work on our home. We would 100% use them again for future work and highly recommend that you use them too.

Comments: WOW!!! Words cannot express how blown away we were by Juan and his team (Armando and Daniel worked on our project) at completely residing our home. Starting with the bid process, Juan was the only contractor who brought out materials for us to actually visually see the differences of why he prefers to work with some products over others and to also show how his crew will use the products to ensure that the home is protected against the weather. After completely walking the home with us and actively listening to our ideas, he made gentle suggestions based on his industry experience and current design trends. He was never pushy or arrogant. We loved his ideas and incorporated them into our design. Beth, his Admin Assistant, was absolutely amazing to work with. She was always available to us and we felt like she could answer any question we had as well as Juan could!! Juan and his crew were great stewards of the construction materials and our budget!!! We noticed early on that they had created a "scrap pile" so that usable smaller pieces would not go to waste on smaller repair sections of our home. We appreciated that they did not grab a new sheet of plywood for every repair considering the cost of wood these days. They saved us sooooo much money doing this! We are so grateful!!!!! The craftsmanship and skill level of everyone involved, including the painters, completely transformed our home from one in desperate need of repair to a dream home worthy to be bragged about!
