Comments: In June 2022 we hired Janice and her husband, Keith Anton Johnson (KJ), from J5 Builders, to install tile in a house we are building in June, 2022. They were to install tile in the master shower, hall bathroom and a dog wash. The tile job was so bad that it had to be torn out of all 3 areas all the way back to the studs. Some of the problems include, but are not limited to, the master shower floor did not slant toward the center drain, the floor was actually wavy. The outside edges of the floor slanted away from the drain toward the walls. The tiles on the walls in some areas were so close together that you would not have been able to put grout between them and the tile floor had the same problem. The dog wash and the hall bathroom tiles were not set straight. Some of the tiles leaned forward and some leaned backwards. The tiles were not uniformly spaced so the grout lines were anywhere from 1/6th of an inch to 1/4 of an inch in width. They put up plastic trim pieces that were not straight or they looked broken. Tiles in the hall bath and master shower literally just fell off of the wall! The tile was not installed by a qualified or skilled tradesman. Janice and KJ hired an outside contractor to fix their botched job but refused to pay him and left us stuck with the bill. It is not our fault that the repairs and new tile installation cost more than the job would have cost had it been done correctly in the first place. Nor should we be responsible for paying for the repairs and new tile installation because that cost is more than they bid the job for in the first place. We paid J5 Builders to do the job and they hired someone else to fix what they messed up and we got stuck with the extra bill. We want to be reimbursed for paying their contractor. Although Janice is the only person listed as owner, her husband, Keith Anton Johnson (KJ), was just as involved in our project. I would never recommend these people to anybody!Tomball TX

I have had a lot of work done on my house prior to J5 builders and I was starting to think every contractor here in Texas was Shystie until now Janice and her husband KJ and worker Frederico and Brandon were amazing the work done looks like it was a part of my house the whole time they built a porch enclosure and I’m so happy thank you so much for the good work good service and good pricing I really appreciate you and will definitely use you again to fix the other projects that I need done.Houston TX
