We quote our jobs from a set pricebook, where each service you request has time and materials associated with it. This allows us to give you a price upfront and we guarantee it will not change whether it takes 2 hours or 10 hours, barring any unforeseen conditions or changes to the job after it started. In your case, we did an extensive amount of work, and once completed we actually discounted the work because it went smoother than anticipated. The 2.5 hours you've mentioned was accomplished by two highly trained and licensed electricians who have been working together for a very long time, so it was actually 5 hours of highly experienced labor that made your job go smoothly and gave you back your day. You're also not taking into account that we did same-day work for you, something that our customers usually appreciate. This required us to go and purchase your specific parts and come back. This time must be accounted for in the job as well. It is also worth mentioning that material prices during COVID have more than doubled. This factors into the price we must charge to stay in business and meet the demands of a fast-growing community.
