Work Description: Concrete Driveways/Floors - Install
Comments: On July 1, 2022, Roberto Aguilar from Innovation Concrete, was paid $ 1,670 to expand a concrete driveway and build a concrete patio in my back yard. The quality of his work was not completed to my satisfaction. His service was terminated and I requested a refund of my deposit for the following reasons: Insufficient supply of workers. Only two laborers appeared to begin a job that required at least four or more workers, they failed to remove the existing sod. Concrete should not be poured over grass. They failed to provide a proper foundation for the concrete slab. They removed sand, clay and rocks from the driveway and was preparing to use it as a foundation. However, the proper foundation for a concrete slab is a mix of crushed stone and stone dust, not clay, rocks, and grass taken from a driveway. Additionally, this company had an inadequate supply of tools and equipment. As a courtesy, I allowed them to use my wheel barrel since they didn’t have one, and supplied them with cold drinking water prevent their dehydration. Yet, when I asked them for a courtesy of installing a drain water pipe, (which I would have paid for) they flatly refused, saying. “we don’t work for free”. I did not expect them to work for free. I expected them to do what I hired them to do and provide a quality service. Also, they left the job site several times to get supplies without informing me of where they were going or when they would return. Because of their lack of compassion, inexperience, poor customer service, I decided to cancel their service and hire another company. Since then, this company has refused to return my deposit, in spite of repeated efforts to negotiate a settlement. DO NOT RECOMMEND-
