Work Description: Contracted to build a sunroom
Comments: DO NOT HIRE THIS GUY! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Hired Rick to build a 9X12 sunroom in Sept 2022 and it is still not finished as of Oct 22, 2023. We signed a contract and Rick said it would take about 3 weeks weather permitting and once permit was obtained.Physical work did not begin on the room until late February 2023. This was only after repeated calls and texts to him. He would promise a to be here on certain days and no one would show up or call. Days, weeks and months would go by without any work being done. When confronted he would always say we have other jobs or I'm not feeling well and I have some personal issues. In late February he had some holes dug for foundation, but once again nothing done until late March. He then started demanding more money to keep the work going. When confronted about where the money was going since nothing was done he became upset and stated having people to pay. Well, it wasn't on my job. One day his lead worker packed up all his tools stating he would not be back until Rick paid him. I confronted Rick only to be told he'll be back don't worry about it. I am still awaiting for a final walk through from the electrician and inspector. Per the electrician this will not happen until he is paid by Rick as well.
Rick under-estimated by nearly $4000 and began demanding money or work would not continue in March. He verbally gave us 3 different completion dates and none came to fruition. He informed me at the beginning of 2023 of his surgery scheduled for July 11th, but assured me the room would be completed before then.
I STRONGLY recommend you do not hire Rick or Geneva Springs, DO NOT GIVE HIM ANY MONEY DOWN, get a COMPLETION DATE and have your attorney standing by at the first sign of slacking off. This has truly been a NIGHTMARE!
