Work Description: PVC fence install
Comments: I can not even begin to express my disappointment and utter frustration working with Fencetekk. Please do NOT use them for any install and save yourself months of aggravation.My husband first met with the sales representative, Mike, on October 18th. We were looking to replace the front and sides of our old wooden fence with PVC. Mike arrived on time with sample fencing and appeared to be open, honest, and easy to work with. He had given my husband a quote and a few samples of PVC fence which my husband sent me in text while I was at work. I replied with the rank of colors I liked, eliminating the tan colors, because it would not match the house. He spoke to my husband about he lifetime warranty and how Fendetekk stands behind all of their work.
Mike returned on October 23rd to show me the colors in person and to sign the contract. I really wanted a wood grained PVC fence, but Mike told me it fades over time and they could not guarantee how it would look after a few years. I settled for the light gray fence to match the house, even though I was a little disappointed not to get the wood grain. Mike assured us he would be at the install to help make sure everything went smoothly. We had signed the contract, putting a small deposit on one credit card and asked if we could wait to put the rest on a different credit card. Mike said that would be fine and sent over a credit card form for us to fill out. The quoted install date was the week of 11/4/24 depending on weather. We sent the full balance of the project by credit card on 10/25. I was told the fee to use a credit card was 3%, but was actually charged 4% and figured we would work it out when the fence was installed.
We did not hear anything the week of 11/4, so the following week we started calling. Over the course of the next 2 months, I called a total of 9 times with only one call back. This in and of itself is completely unacceptable. Every time I ended up speaking with a really nice receptionist who assured me she would leave a message and that PVC fence was on back order. My first call back was on 12/21 from Conrad in the installation department. He assured me he would call me when he got back into the office and schedule an install date as soon as possible. He never called back. On 1/29 I finally got a call back from both Conrad and Ron who said they would check to see what the hold up was and get back to me when they went back to the office. I didn’t hear back. On 2/10, we got a call they were coming the next day and that Conrad would be there to oversee it. We were so relieved to finally be getting the fence!
On the day of the install, a different company had shown up to do the installation. There was no Mike and no Conrad. And the fence they installed was tan. NOT gray. I was so upset. We called Mike and Conrad. On our pink carbon copy of our contract the color was blank. Nothing at all showed up. Mike sent a picture of the contract submitted with “Adobe” filled in for color. That was NOT the color we agreed to. We submitted a complaint with the Better Business Bureau on 2/11. We received a call from Ron who said there were discrepancies in our contract copy and the copy that was submitted to the office. He assured us that we were going to have a sit down with him and the salesman Mike. It has now been 2 weeks. There has not even been an apology.
Not only did it take 3 months to install a fence that we were quoted 2 weeks for, but it is the wrong color. A color that I hate. No one has apologized. No one has put forth anything to try to make it right. We have had dozens of projects and worked with countless contractors and have NEVER experienced anything even remotely close to this.

I worked with Mike and Conrad, very helpful, and knowledgeable, helped me figure out what would work best for my yard. Comments: Well, here we are, 3 months later. I called the office 6/13 left a message, even got a text that Id be contacted, never heard back, called Ron ( owner) 6/14 who got annoyed with me because I was pissed about the lack of communication. He asked me to send pictures of the gate & hinges which I did. Still nothing...." Im not their only customer" was his response, he pushed the issue to the installers & their schedule. The repair that has to happen...... may at its worst.....take 15 min.The opportunity to make it right has long past.
This will let you know..... and you may not care... because " Im not the only customer" time to address this is over. The very poor review will go as planned.
Note I am including all previous Emails so any prospective customers will see how poor your after service is and what a scam "lfetime" warranty actually is.

I purchased a fence & gate from your company 3/25/24. My salesperson was Matt Cutillo....who never even followed up on my install.
I explained to Matt that I would like to go over post location with someone because some deck boards needed to be removed. Never happened.
The work was done 4/1, order # 24-318
Before the holes were finished being dug, Conrad appeared, looking for final payment, which I gave him. He said the gate wasn't ready, but would be the next day. It rained the next 2 days so I didn't expect them to come back. It was NOT raining the following 2 days, and if I didn't call this Conrad person to see why it wasn't done, he said the installers were "busy" on other jobs. WHAT???
I would think a job that was already paid for would have a little priority. How long could it possibly take to install a gate only? 1/2 hr- 1 hr? Took 3 more phone calls.... He finally told me the gate wasn't sized right, that was the delay.
Fast forward to 4/8, I contacted and sent pictures to Conrad showing the self closing gate didnt work, he said he'd come & look. 4/9 the gate was working, I contacted him and told him so he didn't waste his time.
4/24 I contacted Conrad again saying the gate was not right.... no response
4/25 I contacted him again, he said he would be by on 4/26, which he was. He tried to adjust the spring tension, but that didn't work, said the gate was too big & heavy and it needed a tension adjustable spring from the post to the gate. He said "give me a few days"
5/28 I texted Conrad and said. "you said give you a few days, I think 30 is long enough". No response
5/29 I texted again STILL no response.
Here we are 6/1 and its come to this...
Im not at all a satisfied customer.... but I am willing to give you another shot to make it right before I leave the review

Comments: Was looking for someone to come over and install a simple gate in a chain link fence. Owner answered and assured me that I would be getting his very best price, so good I wouldn't even need to shop around (his words).Sent his guy out to survey the job, then he called in the order to get me the 'minimum job price'. That was my first clue, that I was about to be taken advantage of.
The quote? $1,400.
Why did I sign the work order? I don't know. I was rushed and not really thinking it through.
The day of the install came (about a week later, which was fine), and the guys came and did the job.
They were here for all about about 2 hours.
Honestly there is nothing wrong with the gate or the install.
What you should be aware of is:
- they are going to gouge you on price (this gate and hardware would cost about $200-300, even factoring the installation time the cost was extreme)
- when I complained to them that I felt taken advantage of it was 'too bad...this is totally a normal charge' (no one I've spoken to since thinks this is a normal or fair charge)
- bottom line they don't care
- their install crew had to borrow an extension cord which when the job was completed, they just left outside
- the above also happened because the crew left without telling me they were done or allowing me to inspect the work
- they will hound you for the money, I would have settled up with them the day the work was done but as they split they then called me once later in the day (I didn't recognize the number / no message left), then proceeded to blow up my phone the next day with 4 texts and 4 calls including just telling me they would stop by for the money without my confirmation / or approval).
- I don't know this to be the case but I think this is just one of those companies that runs the ads and then farms out the work...which also probably explains the complete lack of customer service & price gouging
Its hard enough to find people to do a decent job for small projects around the house, even worse with guys like this.
Beware and really look around, I would never use nor recommend these guys.
