Work Description: Outdoor faucet repair
Comments: I explained I wanted a different handle other than the black rubber one on the unit which was preventing my installation of a decorative hose hanger, along with caulking to close holes around it however didn’t require complete replacement because it wasn’t leaking. He explained ordering the new part along with labor would cost $175 to which I agreed.Returned a day or two later with a new same black rubber handle, did the caulking then helped install the hose hanger before attaching the handle. When I turn the water on there was a heavy constant leak from the faucet despite it being shut off as far as it would go.
I was annoyed that correcting one issue would cause another however that wasn’t his fault, still he could have recommended replacement instead of repair as I was informed by others that repair seldom works.
He offered to order and replace the internal parts he said were causing the disfunction for an additional $75 then didn’t get back to me.
