Comments: I submitted a quote to clean my roof due to moss, algae, and growth. Ed was timely, almost immediately getting back to me for a quote. He then came the next day to provide a thorough and fair quote. He was a pleasant gentleman to work with. He was out to clean the roof and completed in two days no small project with a 5200 square foot home and multiple dormers to work around. The roof looks beautiful, and I am pleased with the outcome. During the cleaning, Ed and his crew identified chimney/counter flashing that needed repair and a new pipe flashing boot. Again, he had a timely quote and excellent pricing, and he arrived within days of finishing the first job to have it repaired. He provided photos of all work, documentation, and receipts. Excellent service and we are thrilled with the outcome. Thanks, Ed and your team! Job well done! I will use E and D roofing for any future needs.

Comments: Regarding Ed’s response to my previous review post, I would be happy to screen shot the text messages and present the call logs from my phone company to show the several calls I made to you. Upon inspection from a LEGITIMATE roofer, found out Ed poured an inch thick layer of silicone over a rotted pipe boot that he was supposed to replace. Then he replaced a shingle and nailed through the shingle with the nails showing above the new shingle. He charged $1200 for this. Positive reviews are clearly either friends of fake. Ed will be very nice to your face but he is nothing more than a snake. A complaint was filed against him with the state for this botch job and to show that he is actually brandishing a license number on this site that isn’t his. It’s expired and registered to a woman. Comments: I got a quote from Ed for $1200 for a leaking roof. Considering other companies wanted to replace the entire roof when it wasn’t necessary, I went with Ed despite the mix of good and bad reviews. Ed showed up, performed “work” and left (then promptly cashed my check). Next rain storm the roof still leaked. I called Ed as he states his work is “fully guaranteed”. I’ve been ghosted since. Ed is a crook plain and simple, do not hire him.

Comments: We hired Ed to come out, locate and fix a leak at our home. After caulking around the roof for $600 we immediately noticed leaking the next time it rained. Another visit from Ed resulted in a nail that he was “confident” was the culprit. Another rainstorm and still leaking in our kitchen, my husband reaches out and no answer. Now, weeks later (and still no word from Ed) we are leaking now more than ever and are out $600.00Definitely would never use again or recommend to anyone.

They responded promptly to my request, explained clearly what they were doing, and did what they said they would do to the extent that they could. (The moss had been growing there a long time & some had embedded itself in the shingles.) They worked hard and diligengtly on a tough roof and cleaned up completely afterwards. I'd recommend them highly.

Comments: I hired Ed to repair a leak I had in my metal roof. He noticed other issues and added to the contract. I paid a deposit and was requested to pay the balance at the time of repair. He was very timely in arriving to give estimate and pick up deposit. He missed the first day he was scheduled. The day he did show up, was an hour late. He stated it would be a full day job, where I wouldn't be there at finish, he requested balance of the payment. I checked in around 2:00 and he stated he was finished since he grabbed another guy, and "they knocked it out". I checked my security camera and shows him leaving 10 minutes after I left, and returning 3 hrs later alone. The guy he left on to complete the job was waking around the property, sitting on the stone wall after 2.5 hrs. 10 minutes later, he had ladders loaded and he left. Once I questioned the work he completed, he stated he'd be back to complete the job. He did not show, and has not answered any of my tests phone calls since. I spoke to his girlfriend( who all the licenses are under), and she stated he no longer has anything to do with the business. I would highly suggest not to deal with E & D Roofing, or Edwards Richards Roofing. I paid $1,700 for a 2.5 hour repair that another professional stated looks like a hack job.
