Work Description: Refrigerator repair
Comments: Beware!!A service technician from DMK Pro-Tech Svc, Dickson Mkama, talked us into repairing or our refrigerator for a broken ice dispenser on the door. After spending $500+ on the repair, it is in worse shape than before. Our refrigerator is not even making ice anymore and the ice dispenser still does not work.
He asked for an additional $350 for repair, but could give no guarantee this would fix it. After negotiating with Dickson for a refund, he agreed to refund $100 for our loss. The check never arrived. A certified mail to his business was returned, unable to locate address. We discovered that his Maryland LLC (T00444255) had lapsed in 2023 and was never renewed.
He had also erroneously charged high sales tax of 8% on his original bill while Maryland sales and use tax is only 6%, although he had refunded the difference earlier in the repair. Check your invoice before paying.
