Work Description: Needed 10 travertine floor tiles repaired. Five tiles in the kitchen and five tiles in the livingroom/familyroom. Had a crack going across the room in at least five tiles in two different areas of the home. I provided the travertine tile and the grout.
Comments: I guess you get what you pay for. Mr. Collins needs to communicate more accurately as to what's involved in repairing tile flooring--especially when it comes to the mess! He did not cover any of my furniture nor did he suggest that I cover my furniture before he began work. He used a jack-hammer type tool to demo the old tile out which caused the entire house to be covered in fine dust, grit, grout, chips, etc. I had to hire a clean up crew at $300 to help me clean up the mess everywhere in my house. Next time, please ensure you tell the customer what kind of mess repairing tile will cause. Or, better yet, ensure that you provide plastic covering for everything and cover the furniture and walls etc., even if you have to charge more money. The quality of work was fair. He chipped surrounding tiles and filled them in with grout. Doesn't look too good in my opinion. I just hope, as he assured me, that these tiles don't crack again, I will never go through this process again unless the tile repair company provides a vacuum system and covers furniture, walls, etc.Phoenix AZ
