Finish Glossary

• Stamped concrete – Three dimensional texturing used to create the appearance of natural materials such as brick, cobblestone, slate, stone, tile and wood in an array of styles, colors and designs.

• Seeded aggregate – A surface treatment that exposed decorative aggregates of different colors and sizes.

• Sandblast finish – Stone like texture created by sandblasting away the smooth surface of the concrete to expose aggregates inside.

• Acid wash finish – A strong acid solution is used to etch the hard surface of the concrete leaving a semi-rough etched finish.

• Pre-cast concrete – Concrete materials cast into predetermined shapes.

• Colored Concrete – Pure, concentrated pigments are mixed into concrete transforming ordinary concrete into integrally colored concrete.

• Broom Finish – When concrete is wet is brushed lightly to provide striations creating a slip resistant finish.

• Concrete Staining – A coloring process involving a chemical reaction on a cementitious material.A durable product if properly protected with sealer or wax.
