Comments: Unfortunately I got scammed - I thought this guy was a eager proactive business man looking to help his clients neighbors. And I didn't look up these reviews until it was too late. He does not take the time to protect the exterior areas and I'm afraid the the products he used will cause us more problems over time. The job was shoddy at best.Highlands NJ

Comments: Absolutely horrible, ruined the surrounding cement! Completely agree with the other reviewers, this guy Frank is a scam artist. If could give negative stars and get my money back I would and here's why:1) Completely sloppy work. Over-sprayed oil based sealer all over edges of the sidewalk, on the garage apron, and the house foundation. Didn't bother to use any edging tape or masking whatsoever. 2) When we complained his only response was "you can go to Home Depot and buy Goof-Off and remove all the overspray"... WHAT?? YOU did the job and made the mess, YOU should have whatever chemicals you need to clean up your own slop, or better yet, how about spending a few extra minutes to prep the job site and mask off the areas you dont want to ruin! 3) Went to Home depot, bought what he said to buy, and it didn't do a thing to remove the black oil based sealer. It only made the cement look cleaner and brighter which makes the black overspray stand out much worse. Returned the product, the people at Home Depot said Goof Off wont remove the oil based sealer he used because it absorbs into the pores of the cement, so unfortunately the damage and slop this guy made is permanent. 4) the repairs he made to the actual driveway are worse after he did the work than before because he used some sort of filler in the holes and it comes apart leaving all little sticky, oily rocks on the driveway which sticks to the bottom of your shoes and messes up the carpets and floors in the house.

Work Description: Seal Coating
Comments: D&F IS A SCAM COMPANY and the owner Frank Nichols is a manipulating liar that does not return calls. He tells you he has the contract with Teterboro airport which is a lie and how he has 2,500 gallons of sealer from not being able to seal Teterboro due to Covid. He also plays the sympathy role and tells you he has a grandson in the hospital getting brain surgery so I'm sure all of it is just lies.I submitted a request to Angies List to get quotes for driveway seal coating companies and he showed up at my house so not sure if it was coincidence or he was given that information. When I asked if he was from my Angies List request, he said yes. Hired him to seal my driveway which he threw down crushed rubber pellets on a small fraction of the cracks on my driveway, spread it out with a brush not even getting the rubber in the cracks and left clumps all over, then sprayed an oil based sealer sporadically & unevenly, walked on it and drove his truck on it. Got the oil based sealer on the white brick boarder I have as well as the white cement at the end of my driveway I looked at it fast as I was working from home and when I said it looked bad and blotchy, he promised me it would all blend in when it dried. Another lie so I called him and he did come back to try to fix all his sloppy work and then that's when he left it even in worse condition. I didn't use my driveway for over two weeks as I'm trying to get him back to my house to show him I need my $450 refunded so I can get a professional to do the job right. I've been calling him everyday several times a day so now he's just avoiding me. Within a week I noticed most of the oil based sealer washed away in the rain even though it was dry for 3 days after he sealed it. Never trust a paving or seal coating company that has a contractor license and the phone number on the business card does not have a VM set up. This is only the start of my postings as I hope to help others not make the same mistake as I did in hiring D&F Paving (Frank Nichols). I will post this on all forum reviews, Yelp, The Patch, Ring Neighborhood, Facebook and any other platform until Frank Nichols refunds me in full.

Comments: He Is coming here after the 4th of July.. it did a nice job on sealing the driveway... Unfortunately it rained within 5 minutes partially washed the coating off.. I called him and he promised after the 4th maybe Tuesday he would come back and redo it....Nutley NJ
