Placed new mulch over old vs charge of digging up old and placing weed barrier plus 2 yards of mulch. No weed barrier and old mulch padded under new mulch. Comments: Raphael cut down our tree and started to grind stump. We paid him over $600.Next time he came out he came up with an agreed upon price to finish the job which was $1,200.
After he planted new tree we decided that we would pay him the $1,200 upfront because he has worked for us for the past 3 years. That was September of 2020. The rest of the job has not been completed as of today 4/28/21.
Raphael has told us "Ill be by Monday" since September.
He stopped responding to texts and calls.
He and the work he has done for us over the past 3 years was great until he got paid upfront for an uncompleted job.
Be aware! Do not pay him up front!
