Work Description: False representation by a "worker"
Comments: I recently needed repairs done to my home and a worker named Karl Orr handed me his business card with his license number and stated he was licensed and insured. I did a license check and it did not belong to him. He was neither licensed nor insured and using the owners license to do work. When I notified the owner, Gerry, he stated that he just hired Mr. Karl Orr and would be firing him. I reported the occurrence to the DBPR and that now have a formal report as this person has been charged and convicted of the same charges prior. The owner now reported that Mr. Karl Orr is a worker.Palm Bay FL

Work Description: Fraudulant worker posing as a contractor.
Comments: The owner, Gerry, was informed that his "worker", Karl Orr was posing as a licensed, insured contractor. When notified,the owner stated he had just hired Mr. Karl Orr one week before and would be firing him. I was given a card with Mr. Karl Orr's name and license number and when I checked, it did not belong to Mr. Karl Orr, instead it belonged to the owner. My home owners insurance company alerted me to the fraud. I have reported this to the DBPR. I'm glad I didn't allow Mr. Karl Orr to do any work on my home.Vero Beach FL
