Work Description: Asphalt Paving - Repair

Comments: We hired Cassidy and accepted his quote. He was hired to fill in some potholes and redo 7 speed bumps. He told me it would be a 3 day job. It ended up taking 1 month. He didn't show up for the first week. I could understand that because the check from our employer was placed on a hold. But he said he would be there next Monday and was a no show. Then he said Wednesday and he'd be done Friday. Nothing. When he did come, he had one helper and worked on the pot holes. He would show up late in the day, work for a few hours, then not show up for several days. He did finally finish the job after four weeks. He had poor communication. He rarely returned phone calls and he never contacted us to tell us why he didn't come on the day he said he would. He complained about the traffic in our neighborhood and the kids riding bikes making the work difficult to complete. He did not redo all of the speed bumps. He covered them over in concrete instead of rebuilding them and the concrete is already starting to flake off. We will not use this contractor again.
I did not show up for the first week due to the check having a hold placed on it , wanted to be sure payment went through before any materials were ordered and work started. The reason the schedule was so spread out broad is because we were trying to work around little kids on bikes that would not listen and kept right in their bikes through the fresh concrete and leaving tire tracks and I'd have to go back and redo it over and over again. That was the complaint and it wasn't even a complaint it was a concern so one of the kids didn't get hurt from riding in the wet concrete and a liability with a potential lawsuit would have been in play. The reason the concrete is flaking is because we had 30 kids riding all sorts of toys through the wet concrete not giving it time to dry or cure or anything else and tearing it up I was not going back on my expense to repair it over and over again when I said somebody needs to tell these kids to stay out of the concrete several times
