Comments: Josh called me as soon as I hit submit on the internet. He came right over looked over the issue and explained the least expensive plan. His guys showed up early the next day, replaced the plug and installed a barrier in cement right by the plug, protecting it from future damage. I am thrilled with their work and as a bonus the electricity in my garage is now working without having a huge expense. I highly recommend Champions Electric! They were out first thing the next morning, gave me a fair and honest estimate, and completed the 3 electrical tasks I needed done. The electrician and his helper were friendly, hard-working, and knowledgeable. Work Description: Replacing & updating my den's 63 yr. old, recessed canned lighting.
Comments: My home was built in 1958 and I've tried to restore it to its orginal condition. However, code wise, some things have had to be "grandfathered". When it came to my den's recessed, canned lighting, I was able to give accurate recessed, can measurements to Chamions Electrical Services & Josh, the owner. Their first day, Josh, the owner, assessed the work, remeasured everything & made sure they had the needed parts at their office / warehouse on Westport Rd. near a St. Matthews chain store. The very next day, one of his employees promptly showed up, was properly uniformed, clean, thorough, professional, friendly & prepared to work ! This guy knew what his stuff but did tell me that part of the job was going to be a bit more involved. He had to leave at lunchtime,on a personal matter, but told me he 'd make sure my job would be properly & thoroughly completed. In the late morning,he called for additional parts, "renforecements".& Josh, a helper, another master electrician& their driver / helper came in a flash. It wss like a small, informal but professional party. Everyone kept me fully updated every step of the way & YES, they speak "plain people". For one light, I had to lead an electrican up to the part of the attic above my den & he dug through some insulation, near one of that attic's eaves, to expose the wiring leading to the junction box for that particular den light. The guys at Champions Electric wound up installing, adjusting when necessary & updating 2 or 3--8 inch "plug & play" stye lights with baffle trim & 3 or 4 of the 5 inch "plug & play" style lights with baffle trim. No more cans, no worry about anymore retrofits or no available replacement parts for outdated styles. If my math averages out, I believe i the completed project averaged roughly $ 125 per light. Not bad considering labor costs, one guy had to root under some attic insulation to find one light's junction box, plus the cost of needed materials. I was comfortable being told up front that there would be a labor charge plus the cost of reimbursement for needed materials. They hadn't informed the first guy of everything I wanted but that was solved when he called them. Josh had told me not to worry sabout any extra runs for other needed parts & manpower, too. Should they not have a part, Josh can call around to a distributor or supplier to get it for you--just a part of making sure YOU'RE SATISFIED & YOUR project's thoroughly done THE FIRST TIME. No, I'm not their employee just a satisfied customer. You'll enjoy working with Josh & Champions Electric & know you've found a 5 star electrician ACROSS THE BOARD--dependable, honest, BBB member, professional, does GREAT, THOROUGH work & uses energetic, master electricians refreshingly devoted to their work & YOUR SATISFACTION.
