Work Description: A/C mini split condenser replacement
Comments: Do not hire this contractor. I paid a 50% deposit (over $5k) for a job to replace my A/C mini split condenser in March 2024. From that point onward there was little to no proactive communication on his part, and when I chased to determine when we could get the job scheduled and done I was met with months of excuses, never getting the work completed. Reasons it couldn't be scheduled included, in part: weather, lack of cell reception, truck accident, hospitalization, Father's Day weekend, daughter's softball practice, Boston Celtics' championship parade, dropping phone into a sewage grate. Small claims court case filed June 2024 and judgment today, three months later, by the Magistrate that I am owed back my deposit and related fees. Comments: The work done was mostly acceptable, but paperwork needed to confirm install for MassSave loan and rebates was not completed, which lost me $$$$; nor was an invoice provided. Don't count on him to show up when scheduled; some interesting excuses provided initially, subsequently received no response at all. Texts, phone calls, and emails were all unanswered. I was completely blown off, but of course my checks were cashed same day initial work was done. Poor treatment of a senior citizen who paid him a lot of money. Had to hire a second plumber to finish what he started. VERY sorry I trusted him.Mattapan MA
