Work Description: complete repair due to excessive water damage 1 bd condo
Comments: paint and repair walls, remove carpeting for hardwood flooring bedroom , dining and living room. tile floors in hallway, bathroom and kitchen, paint kitchen cabinets, refinish bath tub and surround . replace lighting fixtures bathroom and kitchen, replace two thermostats, replaced two air conditioners and made custom cabinets for each and managed to get me a new mattress, promised to do all that in 7 days but did it in 9 days there was a crew of 7 men working from 9:00 to 6:00. I could not be more satisfied with the final outcome.Revere MA

Work Description: replace boards on back porch stairs
Comments: Watch out for this guy, folks. He is SLICK!! I hired Bob Hayes d/b/a Boston Bob's to replace the boards on my back stairs. To do so, he had to remove the existing posts and railings. For starters, Bob is a middleman so he is very expensive as he has to pay someone to do the work as well as pay himself a big bonus. After the stairs were completed, Bob and a worker re-installed the railings and posts. As I was inspecting the work, Bob was conveniently standing on the top step blocking my view of a gaping 3" hole he made in the aluminum trim behind one of the posts. He knew that If I saw the damage to the house, I would not pay him until the trim was repaired. When I did see the damage the next day, I called to remind him of the contract he signed in which he guaranteed his work and would make all repairs in a timely manner. He made an appointment to do the repairs but he never showed up. I called him a second and third time and each time he made an appointment but wouldn't show up, always giving me plenty of excuses why he couldn't show up. It was obvious to me that he had no intentions of ever doing the repairs. Bob's business card states "All our work is guaranteed and beautiful". Well, the 3" gaping hole in my siding is not beautiful and his guarantee is a joke since he has demonstrated it means nothing. That he stood on the top step blocking my view of the damage speaks volumes about this man's character and integrity. He has demonstrated that he is deceitful, dishonest, distrustful and certainly not professional. Next, I will report him to the Better Business Bureau as well as take him to small claims court.
