Comments: The driveway looked nice. The men were extremely nice. But, my elderly mother who owns the home took a bad fall, due to the unevenness at the end of the drive. I am not one to bad mouth anyone, especially if I didn't witness the incident. My mother couldn't afford the amount that was originally given and expressed that it was made clear. So when the 2000 turn into 6000 and ended up being 10,000 at a discount. I feel that the vehicle should be given back and a PP should have been set up. She lost her car and hurt herself very badly. Comments: This company showed up at my grandparents house unexpectedly. They were going house to house saying they had leftover asphalt from a job. They said they would only charge $4 per square foot, a discounted rate, and that they had about 300 square feet of asphalt available. Expecting the math to come out to about $1200, Grandpa said yes. When they finished, they said "okay, that'll be "13,000". This amount was never talked about before hand, only the $4/sq ft. If this company comes knocking on your door, DO NOT TRUST THEM. They also left trash all over the yard when they left.Granger IN

Owner stopped stated he had left over asphalt he would sell for $2 square foot to cover a small portion. I asked for a quote. Owner wouldn’t give me one. Comments: Not happy! quoted 2000 for asphalt left over from another job after laying down that asphalt it only covered less than half our drive they were told in The beginning I only had 2000 on my only credit card no savings no other credit cards. Wife had a stroke a year ago that took all of our savings all we had was 2000 . After the first truck was empty he informed me that it was already over 2000 and did I want The job finished I said I had no more money . He said don't worry I will work with you he also said that I could write a check for The rest with which I replied I have no more money he Said again not to worry he would work with me. So I let him finish The driveway. After they finished he said that the cost Was 10,500 . again he said I could write a check for the rest which I replied again there wouldn't be any money in my account until the 1st he said he had to have The money in full today. I didn't know what to do so I had to give him my like new 2014 Chrysler 300 with only 59000 Miles and 1000 Dollars on my credit card for payment me and My wife are 74 living on S.S. and were saving The Chrysler so when our jeep breaks down we still have a car to driveElkhart IN

Comments: They took advantage of my elderly parents!! My parent’s did not call this company to come to their house. This company showed up at my parent's house and told my parents they had extra asphalt they needed to get rid of. My dad told them upfront they only had two thousand dollars for asphalt, the company then told my parents ok we have about two thousand worth in our truck. So they started laying the asphalt and then after they started laying the asphalt came up to my mom and dad and told them they were a little over the two thousand mark, my dad told these people from the start he only had two thousand!! They then told my dad it’s ok we can work something out. Mind you they DID NOT GIVE MY PARENTS A WRITTEN ESTIMATE BEFORE THEY DID THE JOB!!! After they did the job they told my parents it would be a little over 10,000 dollars for their work 😡😡😡 my Dad had no idea how he would come up with this money. My Mom had recently had two strokes my dad has had off and on with memory loss and they are not in a place where they can make these kind of decisions on their own. So my dad signed his car over to them and they took $1000.00 dollars off his credit card. I’m so saddened that this happened to my parents and this company should be ashamed.

Comments: Ben Collins admitted they are a fly-by-night company. They'll take your money and run. He also admitted that he lies to consumers. They prey on seniors. Warning! Call a legitimate business with license, insurance and an address. They are a fraud! Beware!Update: Boss Asphalt elected to provide a refund, which I appreciate, to resolve our issue. I do recommend to consumers to have a business provide proof of insurance and license and verify via the State of MI website or by phone. Also, I recommend a signed written contract stating expectations and all details of the job to avoid problems
