Comments: We are so happy with the work Umer and his crew did on our town house home that we constantly bring others to see it. We originally hired him to repaint a brick and lime stone façade as well as repair our stoop. But in tackling the job it was soon evident that we could have more than a repaint. They were able to completely strip the building of its paint and return it to its original beauty, red brick and lime stone. The repair job on the stairs was fantastic. We were extremely happy with umers professional manner, his calm approach to the decisions that needed to be made or revised when opportunities presented themselves. The crew and Umer treated the house as if it were their own and made sure that we were happy with their work. He completed the task of getting and closing the permits with landmark and gave us a fair price for every thing. We would definitely recommend RAJA's company. From the moment I met raja and Omar to discuss the job, he impressed me with his professionalism, confidence, and can-do attitude. I remember discussing the detailing on the brownstone and asking whether it would look like our neighbor's facade. ""Yes,"" he replied, ""but better."" Well, he was true to his word. Throughout the whole process, his men were respectful and pleasant. They turned up on time, worked full days, and cleaned up without prompting. They were gentlemen. Before signing the contract, I'd met with four other contractors. Omar wasn't the cheapest or the most expensive. When the work was underway, there was never any discussion about change orders and additional expenses, which have been recurrent issues with other contractors in my experience. These guys worked as agreed and got the job done to a superlative standard. We've owned two places in Brooklyn over the last 15 years and have employed a whole number of contractors. Some have been flashier outfits, with fancy logos and shiny brochures, but none has been more professional or shown half as much pride in their work. Big rose construction replaced the roof on our building in May of 2021 and I am posting on behalf of the entire building to say that raja and his team exceeded our expectations at every step of the process. Prior to starting the project raja made multiple visits to the building to inspect the roof and discuss options and then he worked with me to make several revisions to his scope. Big rose construction by far offered the most competitive bid on our project in terms of pricing, scope, materials, warranty, means and methods. Work was completed in a very timely fashion (and consistent with the scope) with zero impact on building operations. Raja and his team accessed our roof using ladders (4 story building) and all materials and garbage were delivered/removed by crane so there were no issues with cleanliness in our hallway. Most importantly, the quality of the work is absolutely top notch and there was regular and clear communication throughout the project. Comments: They did a superior job on our home. The job was removal and replacement of the 3 level roof, two skylights, downspouts (all copper), and exhaust flues. They kept the site neat and clean after each day. Most importantly, they installed the new roof the correct way by removing 8-10 inches of stucco and running the new material up against the house and then replacing the stucco to fully seal the roof. They also went above and beyond by caulking some existing cracks in the stucco to ensure everything was sealed and water tight. The bid was competitive and well worth the quality of the work. Comments: Big rose construction was an answer to our prayers. After a fire in my rental property I had no idea where to start with the process. We lived two hours away and were on vacation when it happened. I got their name through a friend in the area and was told that they did a nice job. They got back to me and went out within a few hours and did an emergency clean up to protect the outside damage from the weather. They made the process very easy for me being so far away and needing so much done. They accommodated around my work schedule so I didn't need to lose time to make the trip. They also fought for me and insisted that the insurance company be fair with their estimates. The original price the insurance company gave us for the repairs was around $22,000. Big rose construction knew that to have a decent job done it was no where near what we needed. The guys that they have working really helped with contacting and talking to the insurance adjustors with me to get it right for us. In the end the total was over $88,000. If it wasn't for them I would have never had the money to repair my place. Every single guy on their team was very polite and professional. They helped in any way possible. The work that they did to the house was completely remarkable. It all turned out better than I ever expected it to be. We have decided to place the house on the market and with the wonderful work they have done we have had some offers within 8 hours. I could not have asked to work with a better group of people. In searching for a mason, big rose construction became the top choice after reading raja has an engineering background and masonry experience with Brownstones. Raja kindly explained every step of work to be done in advance and made sure that we understood and approved each one. Comments: Okay let me preface this with some background info. My roof hadn't been upgraded in over 35 years and we were battling leaks almost every rain storm. We knew we needed a new roof asap but the pricing we were getting from every roofing company was a little out of reach for us. So we were resolved to patch up the areas every now and again, and it would usually hold for a year or so, until we had to deal with more leaks and water damage. We were doing this for several years.Then we met with raja and Rose roofing and waterproofing
He took a look and assessed the damage. We knew it wouldn't be pretty because we were patching for years and were fearful he was going to charge as high as all the other roof contractors.
He quoted us a price.
Every other company we called for estimates was almost double what raja quoted us.
And he wrote up a contract in which he clearly outlined the materials he would use, including replacement and repair of all areas of wood rot and water damage, then laying down a new roof.
His 18 guy crew were up there working non-stop all day long for almost a week. We could hear them hammering, and blowtorching all day long.
They finished the job.
Then came the test.
We had several days of unrelenting down pouring rain, pummeling our new roof.
Not a single drop entered the house.
