Work Description: Pour small concrete pad
Comments: Brandon poured a pad 8'x2' and charged $1800. He said the concrete would cure in 45 days and he would be back to paint and seal the pad - no charge. 6 weeks later, he texted and said he was ready to do the paint and asked if I wanted my garage floor epoxy. I told him I wasn't ready to paint the concrete and I would think about the garage floor later.4 weeks later I texted him to let him know I was ready for him to paint and seal the concrete. He replied he would do it the following week and said he would try to match my existing paint. I gave him the paint color I used and he stated he would come by with a color chart and get as close to matching it as possible. I told him to use the existing color (Behr, White Cloud) and he said that isn't a product he stands behind and can't warranty it. I told him I don't need a warranty.
The day before he was to come paint the concrete, he informed he needed to reschedule and he would get with me when he is doing a job in my area, that it wouldn't take him more than 1 hour.
2 weeks later I texted him asking if he had any idea when he would be by to paint/seal the concrete. Said he would be there tomorrow and there would be a charge of $500 min. So I reminded him that I paid him $1800 and he said he would be back to paint/seal the concrete after if cured and that was included in the $1800. He texted we agreed he would come back and seal everything for $1200 and I backed out and that I paid for the pad he poured.
Not sure what he meant by seal everything and $1200 was never discussed. Then he threatened to sue me when I sent him a copy of the original invoice he provided for the concrete pad and I had written my comment on paint/seal 45 days and my paint color.
Then texted me to lose his number - he runs a business, not a charity.
After his comments, I regret doing business with someone who would treat his customer this way and grateful I didn't have him do anymore business.
