Work Description: Locoated wiring problem in wiring for light fixture in livingroom ceiling. Corrected problem and ran new wire

Comments: Took 2 and a half hours to repair and charged $320.00. Way too Expensive for my budget! Cut out a hole in wall and pulled out 2 nails from studd in wall and just threw the nails in the hole. I really did not appreciate my inner walls being used as a garbage can. In conclusion quick service, knew what he was doing but too expensive to consider hiring againin the future. Nice polite friendly Guy but way too expensive!!!

Homeowner had two serious issues. Incorrect wiring at switch, no neutral wire, using a ground as a neutral, under the right conditions someone could have been electrocuted. Homeowner also tried to install a ceiling fan from a plastic box that wasn't rated to support a ceiling fan, the fan mounting would have stripped out of the plastic threads in the box and fallen potentially hitting someone. I had to extend a circuit from a nearby receptacle to bring the proper wiring to the switch, then replace the plastic box in the ceiling with a metal box rated to support a ceiling fan. The nails were put in the wall knowingly so no one would step on them causing puncture wounds. The job took more than 2 1/2 hours plus moneys in material and prices were quoted up front on the phone and accepted before ever leaving the office.
