Comments: I want to start by saying I don’t know how this business has a better business bureau rating of a plus. I am 59 years old I have dealt several times with contractors in my life and this is the worst customer experience ever. I hired Kevin who works for Atlantic properties to do gutters on my house and to do a fence. I gave a deposit of $2100 for the fence and a deposit of $1300 for the gutters. When I signed these contracts with Kevin I was under the assumption that he would oversee both projects. For the gutters he sent over one person one day the person spent four hours here and finally told me I cannot do any work because I’m alone. At that point I knew there would be problems with the project I asked Kevin for my money back he threatened to keep 35% of both deposits if I canceled the job. So then Kevin sent over 2 people. these individuals spent four days here about five hours each day. At the end of the fourth day Kevin who was not here at all during this process shows up and says they are done. I was shocked because I knew that there was still sections that we agreed upon that were not completed. Kevin proceeded to give me some story as to why they were not completed. That the gutters were not necessary in those areas. Not once did Kevin look at the gutter installation what was done how it was done was a good quality work the only thing he was concerned about is getting more money from me. I then gave Kevin another $200 I told him that I would give them the rest of the money based on the percentage of the completion that they did as long as the inspector inspects the gutters and says that they were done correctly. I had an inspector look at it I have the report this person has been inspecting houses for 34 years he looked at the gutters and could not believe what he saw. He took pictures wrote a complete report said that they were not repairable that they need to be replaced. Wrong size gutters were used and wrong size downspouts were used and besides that it was the worst installation job that he had ever seen in his 34 years. I am beyond disappointment and so angry it’s impossible to put into words. This is a brand new house that I just bought two months ago and I trusted this individual Kevin with this job and not one minute was he concerned at all about the installation was never here when they were installing it and even when he came at the end was only concerned about collecting the money. After I got the inspection I did tell Kevin I no longer wanna do business. I did get a new gutter company to come out and also look at the work and see if it’s repairable or not and I got the same exact response wrong material was used on the job and it was installed about as bad as it could possibly beJacksonville FL

Comments: If I could leave zero stars for this company I would. I did my research prior to hiring Kevin and Breck, I saw only good reviews along with a good rating with BBB so I moved forward. It started off as a disaster and ended even worse. Before I signed any contract, I made sure that Kevin understood what I wanted. I had to go over everything multiple times as he did not seem to listen and comprehend what I was saying. That should have been a sign not to move forward. I luckily had everything in email form, so was confident that he could comprehend that. We contracted them to install vinyl fencing and a custom sliding gate for the driveway with a matching pedestrian gate. When the manufacturer delivered the materials, they mentioned that they were going to start my custom swinging gate the following week. I had told them I did not order a swinging gate, but a sliding gate. Kevin decided to order whatever he wanted even though the contract stated a sliding gate. Luckily I caught that and cancelled. The first crew they sent out to install my fence were not going to put cement in where the poles were and the line was very crooked. My fence would have blown over with a gust of wind. I called Keven and told him to please send someone that was capable of installing a fence properly. I'm not sure why I was managing his job site. He sent out a new crew who did a better job than the first, but was not worth 10k I was paying for the job. I had a few large trees on my fence line and when I walked the property with Breck the estimator, he said they could do a custom butt up against each side of the tree. Kevin however did not mention that to the installers. I'm glad I was there to manage the job as no one was from Atlantic Properties was to explain what (I) the client wanted and was paying additional for. They sub contract out all of the installing and pay very little to the installers which make them cut corners. I ended up paying the installers extra to make sure they spent the time to make it look right. I signed the contract on Dec 16th and was told everything would take about two weeks to arrive and the custom gates would arrive shortly there after. Months passed and Kevin continued to tell me that he was having a difficult time with the custom gate, he said he finally found someone to build it for me and would be done at the end of January, January turned into February, he said he had to find someone else as he was having difficulty again. He said he found someone and it would be done mid to late Feb. I text him again and he said it would be done at the end of Feb, I text again and he said it was done and ready for install, I text again and told them if they didn't start the install by the end of the week, I was going to take the situation into my own hands and have it done myself as it was now the beginning of March and still no front gate. There was no response until the deadline (March 6th). The gate was still not finished as he claimed. I spoke with the manufacturer and they told me the company he hired messed up the custom gates, so it would have been back to ground zero. I spoke with my attorney and was advised to proceed with hiring someone else more capable of building what was in my contract and deduct from the remaining balance owed. I had already paid Kevin's company almost 6,300 for the deposit. I was recently contacted by the fence manufacturer saying that none of the deposit went towards the materials. Kevin only paid the labor of $1,000 and the outstanding balance for the materials for the vinyl fence were still owed. They are now threatening to put a lien on my property. I am having to get my attorney involved further to solve this situation. This company is a scam. I would have been more than happy to see the contract through within a reasonable time frame, but over two months is absolutely ridiculous. To put a nice cherry on top, they left all the trash on my property. I have to order a dumpster so I can discard of the debris. I would not recommend this company at all. I have heard that this is not the first time they have scammed people and reopened a new business to cover the scams he and Breck have pulled in the past. My attorney did some digging and they both have multiple records "Complaint on contract or other debt" per Duval Clerk County Records with different businesses. If you ever use this company, make sure to pay the manufacturer directly and have the installers sign a lien waiver prior to giving full payment otherwise you will end up like me, as this company seems to pocket the deposits. I will be taking this company to court for accrued legal fees and any other fees that are attached. This company should be shut down, very bad business. I own multiple companies, we always pay our vendors and labor with the deposit received.

Comments: I was very pleased with the timeliness that the job was completed - 1 week from order to installation. A pipe for my sprinkler system was damaged during the installation which they repaired the next day when I reported it. I was a little disappointed that they did not have any of the supplies to repair it with them but the installer went to the hardware store and purchased them.-
