Comments: In the beginning i was constantly looking around and asking anyone if they knew someone who did top quality drywall work. I spent my days asking and looking around to see if anyone had someone available but I had no luck in which I saw their quality and it didn’t look the best. I start looking online and I come across angi and it displayed a company called 4 Brothers Drywall. I start to look into their website and see the type of work they’ve done, the projects, the people they have working, I was just truly trying to find the best quality I can in my local area and I was willing to spend that extra buck to have the best work. so I quickly get into contact with Mr. barrio and He agrees to giving me an estimate in person. He arrives the same day, I don’t remember the last time someone came the same day of contacting each other . From that moment on i knew we were going to do business together, fast-forward a day and he gives me the estimate for my project. I was surprised by the reasonably good price he gave me for my custom house. He was in charge of doing all the sheet rock work ,with painting interior and exterior ,also did trim across the whole house and crown molding . He came out on a Tuesday afternoon to give me an estimate to complete my house from the drywall to all the trim work in my house, also painted the interior and exterior of my house. Comments: I want to start off by saying i am BEYOND happy of the quality and efficiency Mario and his team provided. From the very first day, i was on the look at for a contractor in my area. I happen to go to lowe’s and ask if they provide sheetrock services because i saw them buy materials. We exchanged numbers and the next day he comes by to give me an estimate in which he briefly explained the process for his company and how each service was going to be done.In total they did different services and all of them came out perfect! He had 3 different crews of 6 people in which were very organized and friendly. He communicated the whole process to me each day that passed even when I didn’t ask, I was informed throughout the whole process on the progression of my project. Now we are all most living in our house, thanks to Mario and his wonderful team. I appreciate him and his family for the hard work they do. Comments: I think this story needs to be heard. This was a lesson learnt the hard way. Now back to the incident. I used Angi app to search for a drywall contractor to renovation a couple of room. The received a call from 4 Brothers Drywall. His name was Mario. He was responding to handyman inquiry I made on Angi website. We talked about what I needed done and possible price. He agreed to come and view the job. They were to start on the small room first and then work towards the large room. When the work started, my office was in the larger room and near the front door, so they had to come by me getting in and out. They finished installing on the small room then took a lunch. Later call me back about a family's emergency. We agreed for them to come back on that Saturday and finish the work. I paid them for the work completeWe agreed on a price for the larger room. The room where my office was located.
Now, I was behind the plastic the separating each room and blind to everything that was happening on the other side. They started to work like normal. I was working in the smaller room since I worked from home and pretty busy. About a hour went by, but then I did hear any noise in the next room. I went through the plastic barrier and there was no one in sight. They had took off with half the supplies and a cashier check for $1150.00.
I was devastated. They had violated my trust and stole half the supplies.
To make a long story short, All I got from Angi's complaint department was, They will leave my review on their company profile. I couldn't believe my ears. They are harboring people who take advantage of the customers they supposed to protect. I did file a police report for record, but I will never trust another consumer help website ever again!
